I don't see how Bitcoin could ruin your life unless you cause yourself to ruin it using Bitcoin as the medium to do it. As far as myself, it's done nothing but help me, and I'm confident it's done nothing but help all its other users as well. From my standpoint, the ease to accept the currency is great for traders as there are no chargebacks or fees. Using bitcoin to flip to fiat or any other type of good is easy too so there's nothing bad that's happened to me that I didn't cause in terms of BTC.

appreciate how your words defined that we are only as capable as our actions, and we must own up to them and take responsibility about our actions. Our financial problems too, are often easy but we don't think clear and complicate lifestyle and business due to financial drama. Bitcoin has only helped me simplify such financial issues and I've had a good time with bitcoins Smiley

Bitcoin has become an obsession for many people. Whether its investing, selling, gambling, or making purchases with it, Bitcoin has certainly become this trend that is much larger than it was years ago. Personally, Bitcoin has been a rollercoaster for me. There are times where I am up 9k in profit, only to be scammed by a professional for 6k. In other words, sometimes I am on top of the world thinking Bitcoin is going to make me an insane amount of profit, only to be let down feeling like I am going to lose every single dime I have because I am putting way too much hope in Bitcoin. At this very moment, I am in the process of disbanding my business accounts, and filing a certificate of disclosure. This isn't to say I have lost hope in Bitcoin, I just simply think there are too many faults that still exist with it. Even with a professionally typed paid FinCEN policy reviewed by 3 companies, scammers have still found a way to literally go above and beyond to steal money. I was involved with trading and selling, and its just got to a point where the risks were not worth the reward. I hope many of you have had more success than I! I've tried out some small gambling techniques as well, and of course that was a major failure. BTCJAM was great until multiple users defaulted on their loans. Then I tried one of the most recommended cloud mining services only to find out it was a ponzi scam and lost out on more coin from them. My last resort was to add a bitcoin faucet to my website, but there are just far too many to compete with, and the advertisement costs to draw attention were just to much for it to be worth it. I could have had the opportunity to retrieve about $2,000 from some scammers, but for me to hire a lawyer, travel to another state for a court date, it becomes too expensive and not worth it in some cases where you are scammed.

My best advice for anyone seriously getting involved with Bitcoin is the key word "money management". You might get to a point where your operation with whatever it is could be rolling in some serious money. Don't get greedy! Thats what I did. Never put in more money that your comfortable losing. If you are happy to invest $1,000 knowing it could be gone, then set that limit until you are comfortable risking a little more. For me personally, I was rewarded very fast with Bitcoin in the beginning. Then I started to purchase more, do bigger volumes of trades, and then boom, you wake up one day and your profits and bitcoin is gone from a hacker/scammer. Every person is different, every one also takes different risks and assessments when it comes to Bitcoin. All in all, has bitcoin ruined your life, or has it made your life better?

I don't think anything has the power to ruin or help your life if you have the wits to make wise decisions. Just like any other investment bitcoin is a mind boggling gamble and you are sure to make huge profits if you strategize your investments and monitor  the market, always have a back up plan though.

Nor the first and nor the second. Why this dichotomy? Bitcoin is a tool which can be used every day like to many others. It is important because do the part of money and everyone want money but is not such kind of money to ruin or help my life. There is not yet such importance of bitcoin in our lives to have and create such characteristics.

None of the two. It didn't ruin my life because I didn't use my fiat just to buy btc and also didn't help my life because I didn't earn a lot. Earning bitcoin is just my past time..

Think about it. Would working part time in the real world fetch you more (in value terms)?
If yes, you would be better off working, earning fiat and buying bitcoins.

If you would continue with gambling then definitely it will ruin your life, But if you stay away from gambling then it would  be helpful in many ways, as there are many plus points associated with bitcoins, So for me it has definitely helped me in my my life,

I was also involved in gambling at the initial stage but I lost in gambling, and that day I decided that I would stay away from gambling, so now I only use it for online shopping or online transfer which is very convenient, easy and time saving.

you decided to stay away from gambling when you lost, and that is why you are advising against it. I left gambling when I made way much money from it and I don't gamble with a lot of money now, solely because I have discipline and I make wise choices. So gambling is not something for just an average dude, it is for people who can make smart choices. Losing a lot and still gambling= not a smart choice.

You just said it, see regulation doesnt help you jack shit to avoid scammers, yet some idiots are still pushing for it.

To avoid scammers you have to use your brain, common sense, due diligence, and a bit of research.

You just simply dont give 6000$ to strangers, with no solid business plan, shady background, or no contact info.

DISCLAIMER:  Fully regulated and insured banks with absolute contact info and total transparency will steal your money too eventually, just like this :

Bitcoin has brought every single one of us together - a bunch of strangers (most of us anyway) from around the world - to chat and bullshit and bitch and moan and sell and buy and scam and spam and ban and be banned and conduct one of the oldest human traditions, to meet and interact.

It's pretty powerful, aside from the obvious benefits of bitcoin.

So, yeah, I think it's helped...all of us.

And also in order to become rich, many people's life is destroyed by bitcoin too.
They brought in when the prices were high like hell(as in late 2013) and when prices were dumped then all of their life savings were washed away with one strike.
