so far overall a net negative. I can't spend it or hold it really. I can't spend because nobody takes it, I can't hold it because I fear losing my coins.....

I hold more than I am comfortable holding so I have wasted time stressing always expecting that I will be one of those sorry asses that posts "how did this happen" topics about their coins disappearing.

Cost : Lots of stress, wasted time
Benefits: None

No i am not going to sell my coins though.

There is many ways to spend your bitcoins, who said no one want to take it? If you search it in the digital goods tab there are many things that you can buy that I scare enough to there because I will spend it like crazy buying all things
Cost : None
Benefits: Many benefits, the most people agree on is the efficience and the online. You can make it online just need some wifi Grin

Well it has been easier to spend the bitcoin in many stuff in life.
You can check the digital goods as you said and there are many thing there.
Also if you want to buy from amazon you can buy cheaper there that using cash.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

Helped I guess...

One should NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER put so much money into BTC that it ruins your life.. EVER.

I've gotten decimated by the market but BTC has allowed me to donate to many things I believe in and has taught me SO much about cryptology it's crazy.

One of the help that I get from Bitcoin was purchasing prepaid load without hassle anywhere I am Smiley Now I can purchase prepaid load via bitcoin thru an online wallet app without hassling to go to some stores here to purchase.

I`m sure 90% of the forum felt that before.

And yeah, its probably the worst feeling ever like how you lose at a casino. As for ruining your life comment, you should always think back on crazier people like the one who bought at $1k price or the fact the person sold his house for bitcoin.. remember that one?

it helps my life quite a bit as there is a way of storing my money into something that governments can't control. and it makes me feel good to have invested euros into something much better.

I lost out big time financially because I knew about Bitcoin when it was only one dollar and was stupid not to invest a few hundred bucks to buy a few hundred bitcoins at the time but it all seemed too nerdy for a low tech lady like me but I was watching it before I started getting more involved. My first real eye opener was when I was clicking a sexcoin faucet and made 200 bucks selling sexcoins for Bitcoin on Cryptsy, that's when I saw the real potential so started blogging about coins and selling them for Bitcoin..My best ever trade was when I bought 1 btc of Bitcoinplus ICO on Poloniex and sold it for 12 BTC although I could have sold it for 42 BTC, MY bad because I really feel I am a useless day trader lol but that gave me the incentive to launch my own coin to try to solve a predicament. I believe Bitcoin was created to solve a lot of problems. If we can get rid of the scamming and manipulation, Bitcoin can help change many people's lives. I believe Bitcoin has really transformed my life as a Generation X member, it has opened up my life and my thinking out of the box that before in the 80's I never dreamed possible. I could never think that a 49 year old housewife like me could have so much passion for even dreaming about changing the Status Quo.. I may not have gotten rich through Bitcoin..actually I still don't even own one full bitcoin yet although I own perhaps a few in my own digital currency, but I do see hope for future generations and my whole family, including my Son who is 20 now know what Bitcoin is through my own involvement, although half are still not interested or understand the concept behind it yet.. but they will in time.. If I can help be part of a generation that can solve real problems and help in future wealth generation and looking at money and life with a different perspective, I would be leaving this world at least knowing I was able to change something here for the better..and if the material riches come, well it's a bonus for sure.. My advice is through the gains and losses, never give up on the possibilities Bitcoin has to offer..   Smiley It has opened a new frontier that before we never believed could even exist, that in itself has made us rich in a barren desert of fiat..

Bitcoin is love. Bitcoin is life.

This is probably the only thing that matters to about 90% of the people here.

Bitcoin is the only viable option for a broke person to have money in their pocket to earn esp being on the forum, even its a little bit that helps to pay an extra phone bill or something.

Such an extreme contradiction, I think for most people it's neither, it opens up possibiities never before thought. I think it gives a prediction of the internet of things and the future. Also a possibility to create your own niche in the bitcoinworld. Yet help or ruin, neither for me, and more like helped, allready have a profit of about 2000/3000 in 2 years, so I say helped me Smiley

I bought at $1200 lmao.  I also bought all the way down to even out my  buy price.  It wouldn't be the end of the world if it completely failed on me.

Exactly, it is an extra source of income which takes care of our day to day expenses, your daily stuff and that is the best thing that we can pay off by earning bitcoins and the salary is intact which we can save or invest for the future assignments, so bitcoin is definitely being helpful.

Yes, and it is helping in different ways, not only fast transactions but also for online shopping, online recharge of phone or skype credit, etc. The people who know the exact use of bitcoins will be definitely benifited by the bitcoins and now it has become a part of day to day life. I mean I turn off the websites that doesn't accept payments in bitcoins.

Wow, you must be closing down a million websites then, because bitcoin as a payment gateway is really rare, compared to so many popular websites. I can rarely see websites accept bitcoin, those websites which accept bitcoin are either strictly bitcoin only or otherwise related to bitcoins only. I wish people start working their way to make fiat and crypto co-exist, because that's the only logical way.
