Just stumbled across this section in Paddy Power, it is under the current affairs section.  I wonder what they are looking to do, perhaps betting on UK regulation or do you think it will be taking bets on the Bitcoin price?

Yeah looks like betting on the price or anything else bitcoin, perhaps regulations.  Would be nice for one of the bigger UK gambling companies to accept bitcoin, would love to see betfair on it myself.

Bet365 for me, love that site might be worth dropping a message into their contact us section I'm sure there would have been others, can't hurt to show them there is interest.

Yeah that'd be great, can't see any of them implementing BTC into their payment systems yet though. It would be incredibly bullish though. All we need is one to start accepting BTC & then the rest will follow. How do we get that first one to become interested though?
I think the main thing that scares them off is price volatility.

yep, only takes one to lead the pack, whichever one is first they can expect I would hope a huge increase in traffic as I am sure there are some UK BTC  holders just waiting for this to happen.

It could be the price issue but then they could work around that maybe by not pinning the odds to the bitcoin itself 0.01 as an example but rather use the value of the BTC at the time and then work on those lines I don't know but if there is enough pressure I am sure they can find a way

yes you have a point , UK players may play a main part of this
but right now I can't find a reason why big sites are not accepting BTC , actually they are afraid from BTC
maybe they still don't believe in it or maybe it's the price issue
people were trying to push pokerstars to accept BTC , but till now nothing happened
