I know the dangers of selling through PayPal, so my question is, how does somebody SAFELY sell their BTC/LTC for cash?

Mt. Gox or a service like fastcash4bitcoins.com
Google will result in a lot of info for selling bitcoins.

if you really want to sell for paypal, I would suggest http://bitcoin-otc.com/ and ask a reputable member if he would be willing to do the trade, or just simply do a bid.

True, but I don't exactly trust google to give me proven, reliable and above all SAFE ways to sell BTC/LTC for cash... What I'm looking for with this thread are people who have been around a while and done plenty of business in dealing with buying/selling BTC who can advise safe ways to sell BTC/LTC without losing large amounts to transaction and convenience fees...

People seem to be misunderstanding what I am asking, I do not wish to sell BTC/LTC for cash via PayPal, I am looking for safe alternatives to buying/selling via PayPal.

Well, post count obviously doesn't relate to knowledge, as can be seen by your post count being higher than mine and asking very simple questions... If people are taking the time to offer you advice and help you, maybe you should take the time to research their responses to your question. Just a quick search of either of those on the forums and you'd realize they are a safe bet. No offense, but I hope someone with a thousand posts scams you, so you can learn what everyone on the forums can attest to, post count does not make a difference.

And further more, if you'd research what I've said a little on your own, you'd see that both options will direct deposit into a bank account or snail mail you a check.
Have fun getting scammed...

You're in luck, I have 44 (now 45!) . Anyways, I do LTC->BTC->MtGox->Dwolla. As far as fees goes, there's a small exchange fee, which is 0.2% for btc-e and 0.6% on MtGox. Then a Dwolla fee of $0.25 for receiving more than $10. So in all it's not that much. You may have to go through AML verification, however. Edit: there's also https://fastcash4bitcoins.com/, which I have not personally used, but is run by TangibleCryptography here on the forums.

I have personally done many transactions with paypal, even sold 17BTC with a paypal transaction. As long as the person is credible and has a good rating with gribble, then I trade. I have also traded for Amazon gift cards before too.

I honestly was not trying to be mean which is why I said no offense. And he's lucky I wasn't someone else, a LOT of people would have trolled him for a response that was essentially "google the answer" as a response to a question looking for safe and reliable ways to do transactions concerning money online. Not trying to be rude this time either, but I have more posts than both of you combined, I just don't think I should be taking financial advice from people who are even more newbie than I am. I know that I am short and I am direct, but I don't intend it to be rude.

Post count does not relate to intelligence or knowledge. It has been pointed out on the forums MANY times. Like I said, no offense but you should research a little more on your own and stop being so lazy.

I wouldn't just accept the first senior member who says "go here and do this" as a response either. I started a thread to begin a discussion on the topic. Everyone is welcome to place their opinions and I thank you for yours and will do research. When I have read enough positive things about one specific place I will probably go there. I ask a "simple question" because it is a quick, easy and reliable way to get the facts contained in a single thread and I can see what the majority opinion is relatively quickly without having to sift through pages and pages of multiple threads.

At least ONE person who recommended the sites you said had USEFUL INFORMATION about the sites rather than just "google so-and-so". Your answer contained no useful information and was a basic "head to google" response in disguise. I am done responding to you.
