As a follow up I pm'd him (MoreBloodWine) he answered me and gave me info that kind of makes me think he did not change hands on the account.

Which means the person that told me was wrong.

I was asked to alter my trust on MoreBloodWine.

I have done business with him (MoreBloodWine) and still trust him.

I now have an issue with the person that asked me to alter the trust rating.

Frankly I would like some feedback on this thread since it is a holiday I realize no one read much on site today.

Deserves negative trust. Both you and MoreBloodWine should give him negative trust.

I need to understand why he would tell me wrong info.

I ate and partied a lot today.

I will keep an eye out here to understand if it was just a simple error.  Then decide what to do on Monday.

Well I can prove I am who I am with the original btc account I have posted here ending zht or something like that but I never have or know how to "sign a message".

As for giving the guy neg trust, it's just be retaliated and I want to keep my rating as it stands.

Private keys at home but will do it by the 7th, but how often do people generally sign a message, just in question of possible doubt ?

Signing a message from an old address is evidence that the account was not sold, however it is possible that the private keys changed hands when the account was sold. If the address associated with the private key still has funds associated with it then the chances of the account being sold decreases significantly.

Regardless, I don't think the account being sold is a reason for it to receive any kind of negative trust as the owner presumably paid money for the account (and it's associated reputation) and as a result has an incentive to maintain any potential reputation that it currently has.

It is actually quite rare that purchased accounts are used for scams. In my personal experience, when accounts are purchased with the intention of scamming, they are caught prior to being able to pull of their scam attempt, end up receiving negative trust, and end up wasting the money they paid for the account. In the rare instances when accounts that are sold are able to successfully scam, most of the time the amount they were able to scam was significantly less then the value of the account, making their investment a loosing one.

The majority of the time sold accounts are used for signature campaigns. However I have seen a number of accounts that had neutral trust when they were purchased, were used to make a large number of honest trades over a long period of time, gained a large amount of trust, and ended up on default trust. I will not disclose the name(s) of these accounts for obvious reasons.

MoreBloodWine contacted me last night gave me his name and address.  It is the same name and address I sent merchandise to in 2014.

I can mail a letter to the address on Monday with a sentence and a number.  He can PM the contents of the letter back to me.

Not a perfect test but pretty good.

The problem I have is I was PM'ed the info so the person sent a PM back to me today telling me some one reliable gave him the info.

I do not  want to get an endless stream of PM's with wrong info. That I spend a few hours checking out> I am not able to deal with this type of problem on a regular basis.

For now I won't reveal the sender of the PM.  Now as we all know staff and admin can read PM's.  I sure they read this thread and looked at the PM.
I am inclined to think The sender was misinformed and did not do this with bad intent. I can't read every PM the sent by this person.  But staff can. If they want to bother to do so they can see if he has made shit ton of wrong PM's.

I am going to enjoy the rest of  the Holiday weekend.

Best Regards to all. Phil

Let this lay to rest any doubts someone might have about my account ownership as of this day, 7/9/15.

Content of linked post...

This is an address I have used for some time but never signed it, if you go back through the history of my posts, you will see this is the first address I have ever posted. It has also recently come to my attention that someone believes my account has been transfered hence the reason I am now signing a message.

So, this post today is to show proof that I, MoreBloodWine, am still in very much control of my account and my original BTC address.

Also, as I could not seem to import it to my local client, it was signed via my blockchain.info account.

If you haven't posted the address in the past then signing a message doesn't mean very much. Luckily I was able to find an old post where you did post that address.

Hey Phillip, I forgot I got this account back some time ago after I think a 2nd hack, worse than the original. In any event. I will be handling you first to get negative trust removed within the coming week or two, depends on my schedule. I still have access to (1AKjJqVViFZGYat2BqerLPyYWscwVEPZht) which is seems the only references are here in this post since the hacker couldn't delete those references. Hopefully that will be enough.

TTYL my friend.

But ya, I got some cleaning up left to do before returning to this account, currently, well not so currently... haven't used it for a while but am on NinjaMan35.

Edit: Nm, I was using search wrong but did find some other references, one going back to 2013 for addr 1AKjJqVViFZGYat2BqerLPyYWscwVEPZht.

bill gator is/was a fraudulent user and he is not in DT. His rating is therefore irrelevant. You do not have to think about it, there are many outdated old ratings like that.

Even if that is the case, I'd still like it removed via an admin. Which should be feasible given that is the case.

Edit: Even if BG meant well enough at the time, he most likely would never had placed it if I didn't ask.

Do not trust most of the trolls here like Lauda, who are already kicked out of both DT1 by theymos and DT2 by the community. Bill is a pretty nice guy, I think you should try sending bill gator a PM, I am sure he would respond as soon as he checks his account rather than trying to remove it via admin action.
