Name submission period is now open.  Please submit your ideas for names by sending a PM.  Submission period ends in 5 days (Friday July 17, 2015 @10PM EST).  Since no one else has applied to join the team as of yet, I will review the submissions and select some possible candidates for community voting.  

Wining submission receives:

• Cell Phone Power Bank with the the final logo and coin name printed on it.
• 1 unit of the new cryptocurrency.
• 1,000 Zetacoins.
• The great feeling that you named the currency of the future.

Submission guidelines:

• First to send PM gets credit for duplicates.
• Must be unique.
• Easily translatable to any language.
• Must not make a reference to any negative, racist, illegal, person, group or organization.
• Can not have the word 'coin'.
• All submission must include two 3 character currency codes in the following format: XAA and AAA
• No more submissions accepted after period ends.

Original Announcement

Today's events and the results from Sunday's (July 5, 2015) referendum results have inspired me to create an Altcoin.  

Quick run down of my skills:

I am proficient in PHP/Java/Python/HTML with additional familiarity with Javascript/JQuery/C/C++
Also very experienced in computer systems, server administration, hardware, storage, and networking.

I've administrated, setup, and troubleshooted Apache, MySQL, DNS, Linux/Unix/Windows/OSX.

I'm quite familiar with Bitcoin, the protocol, the PoW design, and the underlying cryptography that is used in address generation, transaction signing, and message verification.

All in all, I'm a developer/entrepreneur with big ideas.

This topic serves as the initial pre-planning phase to what I hope is the crypto currency that will be as well known as Bitcoin.  The goal is to create something that compliments Bitcoin, not replaces it.  I believe Bitcoin has it's purpose, but not as your everyday currency.

I need you!
I will be the chief architect of the project (the CTO perhaps) and for the time being interim 'CEO'. However I need skilled and dedicated individuals who will help build this dream.  I don't have much BTC or fiat currency, but your efforts will be compensated using the same currency that we will create together.  So yes, that means there will need to be a pre-mine, unless someone can suggest an alternative?

To start off, I am seeking to fill the following vacancies.

1 Individual: Multiple titles: Compliance Officer, HR Director, Talent Acquisition, Director of Finances
1 Individual: Senior Level Programmer/Project Manager/overall cryptography expert
3 Individuals: Junior Level Programmer with C++/PHP/Python as core skill set.
1 Individual: Entry Level Programmer
1 Individual: Multiple titles: Graphic Designer, video and audio editor, campaign manager, marketing director, technical writer.
1 Individual: Multiple titles: Operations director, community manager, spokes person, general manager

The roles with 'multiple titles' will eventually be broken up into additional vacancies once the project grows and these roles require dedicated talent.

The name and/or method of selecting the name is still undecided.  However, once the vacancies get filled and we have a good plan in place I am sure we will start to ponder on the subject.  Perhaps letting the 'community' submit ideas, then the project members would select a few, and put it up for a vote.

Have you thought about waiting for Bitshares to release 2.0 and then use their graphene toolkit to create your coin? Would be cool to have a "mineable bitshares" that has a fair release. Of course triple algo to allow everyone to participate. Sha256/Scrypt/X11.. Just thinking out loud.

Ya totally agree, its not 1 person's job but we lack good devs and many coins are dead without developer so if you got everything on programming side then you can find a good team and supportive people im sure. And good thing you put your proposal here so many people are looking a top man like you in crypto industry, hope someone will pick you up for a good alt development. Good luck!!

I get that, which is why there is a 'twist' to the block reward schedule.  Most I can disclose is that the inflation will be small.

I will look at Bitshares (I know nothing of it at the moment).  However I would like to have this project start out from something based off Bitcoin/Zetacoin.

The best would be if you first prove your uber-skill, then look for those who will work for you for free. Those who are not looking for cash will accept you because of your skill. Or just get a job, earn some money and pay those who need money for the things you want them to do.

I am employed full time and earn a good yearly salary using the same skills I listed in the OP.

I'm not asking these people to give up there current jobs and come work for me.  I (along with them and the community in general) should understand that we will do this in our free time out of desire and not need.  Should we be successful, then it's up to them what they should do next.

Compliance Officer/HR Director/Talent Acquisition/Director of Finances

This is a high-level role with multiple responsibilities. Your skills are essential in the success of our project.  Ideally the candidate would have experience in business accounting/finances and should be knowledgeable with financial regulation and compliance laws in North/South America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific regions.  However some familiarity with financial law and compliance for just the U.S.A is acceptable so long as your are capable of conducting proper research to ensure our project is in compliance with the laws of the country.

Your responsibilities may at some point include.

• Ensuring that our project is meeting all legal requirements for conducting business in the United States on the federal and state level.
• Ensuring that our organization is properly registered as a corporate entity and is in compliance US and local government labor and tax law.
• Our organization may at some point provide products that will fall under the “Money Service Business”.  You will assist us in ensuring that we meet any and all requirements for registering as a MSB.
• As director of finance, it is your responsibility to responsibly manage our projects finances, determine needed capital, etc...  In Both fiat and crypto currency. 

In addition to corporate compliance and finances your responsibilities will include that of human resources and talent acquisition.   You will seek out new talent to fill in open vacancies, handle the procurement of staff and (initially) write some job descriptions.  As the acting HR director to will at some point need to handle payroll and compliance with state and local government employment laws.

If at any point the responsibility of one or more of these roles require a dedicated individual, you will be responsible for procuring, seeking, and training the needed talent to fill the new role while ensuring a smooth transition.
