I'm trying to rent a gpu mining rig to mine siacoins.  Siacoin's hashing algorithm is blake2b and p2pool is supported.  Siacoin is being released on the 7th and the devs are releasing a gpu miner during the launch.  Is there anyone with a gpu rig that would be willing to rent it for a certain amount of bitcoin a day?  You would have to be able to change whatever algorithm you use now to blake2b once siacoin launches and the miner is released.  Thanks!

Have you tried sites like https://leaserig.net/ ? Might be worth checking out if you don't get an answer here.

I looked at sites like those and the problem is none of them offer blake2b because I think it's new.  And so far I haven't found a messaging option to ask the rig owner if they can switch over before I rent it.

I've been out of alt coin mining for some time. What kind of GPUs are you looking for?

just be sure to keep in mind that you wont get your value out of renting a rig; why would anyone rent you their hashing power for less than what they could make mining on their own? If you buy a contract they are most definitely making profit.

theres nothing here. message me if you want to put something here.

Good point thanks, I'm betting that the price of siacoin will go up after I've mined it.  The problem with betarigs.com and leaserig.net is that neither offer blake2b mining rigs.  There isn't even a gpu miner out yet for blake2b but the siacoin devs are releasing the miner with the coin launch tomorrow.  So I'm looking for someone with a mining rig that would be willing to switch from scrypt or whatever algo they use now and mine sia with the blake2b miner that will be released.

I don't think it is because the devs said they would be releasing the gpu miner during the launch.  I don't think it can be mined yet.  And the problem with sites like miningrigrentals.com is that I can't message any vendors asking if they would mine siacoin for me once the miner is released.

it isnt the same at all ...

and the way that sia is mined is completely different ... hence the specialized miner WITH the algo ...

that is precisely why he is advertising here ...

there is no site that offers this service that i know of ...

ive been mining this very same coin - and i can tell you there is very little about the place for sia ...

i would hire him out our farm - but we are doing the same thing ...

Wink ...

Betarigs operator here.

If someone has a Blake2B Rig i can open up a section specifically for blake2b rig owners/renters

that would be nice ...

but the siacoin that is being talked about has no stratum implementation as far as i can see - so there is almost no way of mining this coin until the dev ( taek ) and his team bring the next version ...

siacoin is a hidden gem - until the pool comes out Smiley ...

its been a while since i looked at betarigs ...

time for a test run again i think Smiley ...

I see. I'm quite busy preparing betarigs v2 arm. But if one doesn't come out soon I will get it made. (I'm also the crypto-expert pool stratum and one of the unomp devs)

thats actually quite good ...

i have thefarm setup on mintsy due to their ease of eternal pool setup and switching - but when i have a moment - i will definitely take a closer look at betarigs ...

i had a look at unomp for our pool and really liked the simplicity of it ... but liked the mpos implementation better ...

im not a coder - just own and manage and do enough coding to get me into heaps of trouble Smiley ...

as for sia - the coin itself is designed and improved by taek and his dev team ... they are working on a pool implementation for mining sia which they say should be ready soon ...

our coin is x11 - and i like the ease of minig x11 - apart from the diversity of coin that is out there under that algo ...

i would really like to learn more about what you are doing with betarigs v2 - as ive been looking for a home for thefarm for quite a while now ... i thought i had found it with mintsy - but its still got a long way to go be as stable as we all would like it to be ...

Its not as feature complete as i'd like it to be at the moment. Im going to get everything rolled out in stages. for now its a re-written UI, ability to block renters from renting your rig. re-written payment system. a bit more transparency regarding payments. ability to deposit BTC to rent. (now the only form used).

On the list to add yet are:
backup pools (almost ready but going to hold of on adding it for a few weeks)
better switching for rigs
Pool suggestions
Ability to dynamically set your rig price per day
