Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

I'm confused...the private key matches with public key so how come there is still money in this wallet and why make it public instead of taking the funds?

Also why does it say "password" on the transaction?

You aren't an alt of one of the people behind the spam transactions on the blockchain are you? There have been a number of threads, both on here and on reddit of people posting the private keys of addresses with large amounts of bitcoin that is unspent, but whose addresses have very small inputs making it very difficult to ever spend

I was referring to size in terms of BTC.

Generally speaking, each input is the same size in terms of how many bites it would take to spend in a transaction, and as a result, each input will cost roughly the same to spend in terms of recommended transaction fees. When you have a large number of inputs that are very small (in terms of BTC size) then such inputs will often cost more in (recommended) tx fees then the value of the input themselves.

By making the private keys of these addresses with large numbers of very small inputs public, whoever is behind the spam attack is likely attempting to get people to attempt to spend the funds "in" the addresses, causing additional traffic in the network.

The ultimate solution is obviously to quickly increase the block size in order to alleviate the massive size of the mempool and to make such attacks uneconomical.

There is more than 0.1 BTC in the wallet, it doesn't cost more than that to send them right?

If you look at transaction history you can see that some coins were spent at some point

Total Received   0.24753891 BTC

Final Balance   0.11123 BTC

or what you are saying is that at least 1 transactions in this BTC address should have been more than average fee (0.0001) is that correct?

It is related to coin age
The coins are too new to offset the value of sending them due to the small recieving increments

Transaction priority is calculated as a value-weighted sum of input age, divided by transaction size in bytes:
priority = sum(input_value_in_base_units * input_age)/size_in_bytes

Transactions need to have a priority above 57,600,000 to avoid the enforced limit (as of client version 0.3.21). This threshold is written in the code as COIN * 144 / 250, suggesting that the threshold represents a one day old, 1 btc coin (144 is the expected number of blocks per day) and a transaction size of 250 bytes.

So, for example, a transaction that has 2 inputs, one of 5 btc with 10 confirmations, and one of 2 btc with 3 confirmations, and has a size of 500bytes, will have a priority of
(500000000 * 10 + 200000000 * 3) / 500 = 11,200,000

The "average fee" you are quoting is not enough for a transaction from this address. It is enough for your "average" address, but there are transactions that require far higher than average transaction cost.
See https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Transaction_fees for a description of how the transaction fee depends on the transaction size (0.1 mBTC (0.0001 BTC) per thousand bytes).

So what is your motto behind the post???

BTW how did you find an open wallet with its private key???

i don't know if OP did this intentionally but
i have seen these kinds of post for two days now.
they are spreading the private keys to the addresses that are in the attack to the network and hoping other people will contribute to the attack by trying to spend the coins.

please remove the private key from your post.

Weak hands have been complaining about missing out ever since bitcoin was $1 and never buy the dip.

Why are they doing that though? If intentional, what would be the motive? Just to disrupt or are they trying to force some argument around the block limit? Or are they just trying to exploit the stresses? I don't get it. I've been seeing same type posts as well, and all the conversation around it is confusing.

whats going on?

Interestingly enough, I've found about 8 of these Private Keys similarly to what OP said.  Most of them have .1btc+ as balance with shittons of inputs making the btc impossible to spend.  Wtf is going on?

You better don't use this address anymore

Just tried import that private key & my desktop wallet suddenly stopped working Sad
Don't try to import that private key on slow devices if you don't want your devices stopped working, also there are too many unconfirmed transaction.
I managed to import it and another address into my wallet and it didn't crash. When I try to send a transaction with all of it though, my wallet says that the minimum fee is 2.24853362 BTC, way more than the amount of BTC in the addresses (0.25...)

The address has thousands of transactions and inputs that your SPV client needs to download and process. It takes a long time for some clients.
