The grue lurks in the darkest places of the earth. Its favorite diet is adventurers, but its insatiable appetite is tempered by its fear of light. No grue has ever been seen by the light of day, and few have survived its fearsome jaws to tell the tale.

Just a heads-up, CATS.  The catcoins.org main site is down at the moment.  The error message says the name has expired but this is incorrect - the name's registered through Dec 2016.  We've got a message to Mack25 to kick the server in the head - though recognize that the problem could be related to the flooding rolling through the US Midwest.  More news when we've got some.

In the mean time, the chart and block explorer at catcoinwallets.com is good, as is our reddit and the info in the OP of this thread.

Happy New Year CATS

Hi,

what about another exchange?

EDIT:
cryptsy is dying...
Yes, Cryptsy is having trouble apparently as a result of a hack coded into a coin daemon.  It appears that they are still working on recovering at least part of the money stolen - if that happens, they say they'll continue operations.  For the time being, though, it looks like they've stopped all trading and withdrawals.  Me and Blaksmith were in our Cryptsy accounts overnight and were able to schedule withdrawals.  Blak received his Uno payout.  My BTC and CAT withdrawals have not yet processed and may not.

Thanks for submitting the exchange request - I'll send you 500 CAT when we're listed there.  I'll pay a 500 CAT to anyone that gets us listed on another exchange as well.

Thanks CATs!

It is good to see that Catcoin is still active. I used to know one of the developer team but he kinda disappeared on me. (I'm still mad about losing those articles.) But seriously, what would you think of a pet shop or something accepting Catcoin payments as a branding thing? Any plans to get on a payment processor similar to Coinpayments?

Thanks for pointing our eyes to this exchange.  It looks like CAT is already in the vote list.  Adding my votes daily now!

Agreed - it'll be good to get our exchange numbers up to at least the three we've had in the past.  Thanks Vampirus.  Since you recommended it first, I'll send you 500 cat if/when we get listed.

You do not need vote for CAT. This post for coins, that was on Cryptsy and it is most cheaper and faster to add coins.

Thanks again, Vampirus.  We're working through the process at Cryptopia.  We're also evaluating their exchange, mining system, and trades to make sure it's a safe place for CAT to land.  So far, though, they're a lot more responsive on the tech support side than Cryptsy was on a good day - so that's nice to see.

We'll let the community know when we're listed, and will update all the sites/pages with the new info.

Another altcoin, how many altcoins do we seriously need nowadays. I know that there are advantages of one over the other but can't we just have a handful of coins then perfect it? The reason why altcoins are nowhere near bitcoin at the moment because the funds are vastly distributed amongst all the altcoins.

This is not another "NEW" coin.  CatCoin is over 2 years old now.
