Yes, due to personal reasons(I'm starting my medical internship training soon), I'm not able to give my full attention to the site to run it properly the way it truly deserves. As this is my first project, I really hope to see the site grow, even if its no longer under my direction. I do hope that the next owner will do more to promote the site and help it grow further.

Yeah thanks for the support. I'm doing this because of my personal commitments, I'm not able to effectively develop, promote, support and run the site as well as I should. Hence, with a heavy heart, I came to a decision that a new owner that is able to do all those will be better for this site's future. Since this site is my first project, I do hope it will continue to grow even though it is no longer under my direction.

I do know this is the hardest part of all because most people tend to hold on to the favourite site despite that the new site offer something new and sad thing is that they will still be doing so despite a new site throw in a   0% edge to the game

Plus that the owner has stated he wont have enough time to do so , therefore his decision is a good one rather than risking more without any result at all

Its the right thing to do. The way things are right now, I don't have the time nor budget to effectively help this site grow. I do hope someone with enough time and resources take over this site and help it grow.

Having really mixed feeling about this, feeling a little bit sad about this decision but at the same time happy that someone might potentially manage this site better than I did and ever will.

Promotions or contest are usually EV+ for players which means it will be an expenses for the house thus this of course will generate player when there is an ongoing promotion but the real issue would be that those players will / will not be staying at the house when there is not one.

Yes, so it is better to make promotions like free 0.001 BTC for first 100 people. Stunna is doing this already ( probably for fun ) and it is always full in a day or two.

There is no compulsion nor requirement for you to spend funds that you are not willing to lose. Though it seems that promotions will get players to the dice site, it may however be temporary. That said, if you have the funds and are willing to risk it, it is fine that you do that, but otherwise I'd advise you not to.

Almost every other site are running their own promotions, so any ones you get doing the promos may not be solely playing on the site. And highrollers would care more about edges and stuff than promos.

If you have the skill to develop and improve a site, with unique features, and a good support to players it will grow, whether or not you spend money on that. Only thing is, you got to be patient, and work for it.

If you don't have the time to maintain the site, probably get someone else to do it. But make sure there is something in it for you.

You're right there are only two options :
[1] Sell the site. But it will hard to find serious buyer, since this is a new site. Serious buyer will always prefer to buy an old gambling site that has more regular players and good feedback.
[2] Let the site run. This will be the last option when there is no one want to buy this site.

I just noticed this post, sad to hear this. I was thinking that quantum dice had potential to grow bigger. Your dice is one of my favorite. Hopefully new owner will make this site more better and you will find another good project for you to run in the future.

I am not too familiar with Moneypot, so I would like to know how many % of the site wagered can you get as the site owner? As I understand, you site has a variable edge of 0.01% - 1%, but then Moneypot and its bankroll investors are taking the most of it, right?

As far as I know dev of moneypot profit is not based on win or lose, it is calculated from players wagered no matter its a win or lose. And dev will get 1%*house edge for total wagered from their apps.

Not exactly correct if someone wager 1BTC the commission for the apps is different according to the risk that the investor will take. The current bankroll is quite small currently therefore 1BTC is around 1/3 of the current max win and if someone wagering 1 BTC that would be alot for now.

It depends on the risk investor take because if someone wagering 1BTC at 1.02 multiplier (around 97-98 % ) to win then investor is risking the inverse which is 2 % to win so the investor is taking a huge risk rather than if someone wager 1BTC at 49.5 multiplier. Therefore the commission will be alot lower if someone wager at the former rather than the later and moneypot collect 50 % of what is paid for the apps

P.S : this is my understanding of how it works, I could be wrong on this

If it is not just a matter of finance and if I was you, I would prefer to pay my friend to run the site and simply split the profit instead of selling the site. But of course you have your own decision, wish the best luck of your medical program and hope the new owner will come soon and grow this site as well as you grow this site from zero.
