The world's "biggest" "hacker" "conference" is no more.

I believe that we are in a post-hacker world.

wtf !?!?!?  Huh

yeah it's normal that you become more "reasonable" when you grow older, but not to that degree. The whole thing for me leaves a taste of trouble with officials / gag order / cease-and-desist.

Without the NSA data gathering programs, there would have already been a "Cyber 9/11". Unfortunately, I can't reveal the details to support this statement but, knowing my honestly and character, you'll have to take me at my word.

"If you have nothing to hide, you've got nothing to fear". That's a much derided quote but, honestly, you know it is true. You're parents and grandparents knew it was true. This is a, Christan-based, truism that is fundamental to our society.

alright... this has gotta be a joke... and i almost fell for it...  Huh

Get over it, this is a parody/joke. Apologies that I ripped the art from the actual Defcon page.

DT is a really nice guy and he would never say these sorts of thing. Or would he?
      Nah, I'm sure he wouldn't.

Have a good time at Defcon. See you at the Rio!

Please change the title it made me sad. We don't want an epidemic of nerd suicides.

Other articles show how that is creepy so much better.
http://www.wired.com/2015/07/online-anonymity-project-proxyham-mysteriously-vanishes/?mbid=social_fb

The person behind it, responds and says that it was not DefCon organizers, that it was not someone above him, and that it was not the FCC. But, when asked whether it was due to a gag order from law-enforcement, he said no comment.

I wonder if DEF CON will actually become counter-intuitive, providing a place for law-enforcement to figure out what to stop next.

Didn't they dis-invite law enforcement recently in protest of the snowden thing?
