We believe that we have a great publication, however not that many people know about us yet...  That is why we are doing this promotion:

Put (and keep for at least a month) a link to: http://thebitcoinsun.com/  or some other related link in your forum signature and we will give you 0.1 BTC (thankful to Garret for donating 5BTC)...  Be creative and reference something that you like about The Bitcoin Sun

There are some basic rules so it doesn't get abused:

1.  Only forum members who have register before this post.
2.  Only forum members who have 50 posts or more.
3.  Limited to the first 100 applicants.
4.  To claim your payment, place post in this thread with your bitcoin address (and a sig that references The Bitcoin Sun).

Overall have fun!

The Bitcoin Sun is a online publication that covers the bitcoin community; for more info checkout: http://thebitcoinsun.com/

I'll throw 5 BTC of my pay from this upcoming week into the pot as well, making it .1 BTC total Smiley

I write for the development section of The Bitcoin Sun, it's quite fun, I'm learning a lot as I go. So far I've put out some pretty good articles, I think. Read up on them in the PDFs of past editions on the site!

For anyone who wants to make a bit more, check out my thread, offering some work for cold, hard BTC Smiley

I routinely ignore posters with paid advertising in their sigs.  You should too.

To begin with, why not have a twitter feed and rss feed of all articles like a conventional blog?

Can I write it on my arm every day for a certain period of time? (A month might be unhealthy, but it's better publicity because people see it and think "... wtf is that written big and black with a sharpie on his arm?".  I'll provide pictures. Haha.

NOTE: This account was compromised from 2017 to 2021.  I'm in the process of deleting posts not made by me.

Well they have a twitter:  @TheBitcoinSun
a RSS: http://thebitcoinsun.com/feed/atom

I really like The Sun'. Quality bitcoin news is hard to come-by and is going to in importance as the bitcoin community grows.

Edit: added the website to my sig.  But seriously, your website is like... really bad:  my favourite news website is: http://www.theaustralian.com.au/

For some reason, it feels kinda weird to just link to the main site. If there was a way to link to individual articles, I'd rather put a link to my favorite one in my signature. It just seems more personal.

Check out the results from my Bitcoin Survey Project!

+1 there are some really good ones hidden in those PDF's...

@TheBitcoinSun... why so slow?? Get your editors to upload their articles to the site already!  And get a new CSS theme while you are at it!

One off NP-Hard.

I think the PDF and the huge overhead editorship hierarchy is a repeat of Bitcoin Weekly's mistakes.

Problem with editors is that they're only one person, with only a limited viewpoint. They're also a bottleneck in the production of content.

My operation is a 3 tiered hierarchy. Freelancers, staff writers, and the editor-in-chief. My role is more of a combat support role. I administer payment, hire people, advertise, and write code. I plan to either eliminate these roles or delegate them.

I want the good people of Bitcoin Weekly to be fighter pilots, not drones who are completely incapable of functioning without getting approval for anything.

Problem with PDF is that they're not as linkable and you can't comment on them.

Hmm, I read both... The Bitcoin sun is nice as I can just get all the news round-up in one hit... except it really should be on paper, something that you read when having your morning coffee.  I that an iPad app would be great... (for those who have one of those stupid apple-jail products).

The Bitcoin Weekly, is cool as it is very minimalist and 'just works'...  I that there is much that The Bitcoin Sun could learn from such a site.

One off NP-Hard.
