I thought that making a bump button could be a really good idea , mostly on marketplace section
Instead of moderators coming always and ask us to remove previous bumps and make one each 24 hours , we should make a button that bump the thread and we can use it only once 24 hours of course .
This could be really helpful on decreasing some spam on signature compaigns or even without sig .

What are your thoughts guys ? Feel free to add more on what I said if you agree . just gave the basic idea I guess and developpers are free to do however they found good

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Auto-bump every 24 hours who has activated it and is online within last X days will be good. IMHO, it is good to auto-bump thread when the user login.

Btw, this is already suggested here -- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1047243.0.

I would like the idea, although currently moderators really should not be having to tell people to remove old bumps (you should do this without being told).

I would not use a "auto-bump" feature, as I tend to try to bump my threads at different times of the day in order to attract different people in case a certain group of people are reading the forum at different times (with my bumps spread out at least 24 hours apart). A bump button would however prevent topic starters from bumping more then once per 24 hour period.

Some people however do use bumps to post actual updates to the status of their threads so I don't think it should be a requirement to use this button if implemented.

If I'm not mistaken the bump button is already a planned feature. It will eliminate the need for people to actually spam the word "bump" reducing bump spam, and will also help prevent people from bypassing the 1 bump per day rule.
