A Canadian resident may face half a year in jail for objecting feminists in Twitter.

Greg Elliott is accused of criminal harassment for disagreeing with the campaign of two feminist activists.

Father of four was arrested in 2012 and fired from his job as a graphic designer after he opposed Guthrie and Reilly's plan to generate "hatred on the Internet" targeting the designer of an online video game which allowed players to simulate punching feminist blogger Anita Sarkeesian in the face.

Elliott felt that the two activists' plot to publicly shame the young man "was every bit as vicious as the face-punch game," and could cause the young man to commit suicide, urging Guthrie and Reilly not to follow through.

Guthrie and Reilly then claimed that Elliott's refusal to endorse the plot (he had previously helped Guthrie's feminist group by offering to design a free poster), represented "criminal harassment."

Thus, feminists in Canada could claim that anyone who disagrees with or offends them is engaging in "criminal harassment" and demand they be sent to prison.

Elliott was engaged in harassment merely for tagging them in tweets. At no point did Elliott make any remarks directed at the two that could be construed as sexual harassment, hate speech, or violent rhetoric, according to Toronto Police Detective Jeff Bangild.

The very worst comment that Elliott made in reference to the activists was a tweet in which he indirectly referred to the women as "fat" and "ugly".

The astounding thing about this case is that Elliott himself was clearly subjected to harassment by Guthrie and Reilly when the two activists sent him a barrage of hateful tweets. Another supporter of Guthrie and Reilly even pretended to be a 13-year-old girl to try and portray Elliott as a pedophile.

"If anybody was being criminally harassed in this case, it was my client, it was Mr. Elliott," Murphy told Ontario Court Judge Brent Knazan.

If anyone deserves some form of criminal punishment it's these girls, not Elliot. Elliot already lost his job over this idiotic incident.

Elliot was a supporter and did work for these feminists until they chose to "generate "hatred on the Internet" targeting the designer of an online video game". He is not the game designer, nor did he harass the girls. The designer's name is Ben Spurr and the girls involved clearly harassed him and Elliot.

Canada is a common law country. If he did harm to other people or damage to their property, he should make it right.

To protect himself, he should do a little letter-writing campaign to the ladies in such a way that he asks them for evidence of the harm or damage. The campaign should include requests for payment for damages to him. He needs evidence and a witness.

If he can settle by mail, great. If he can't, he should take it to Queens Bench in the courts (Queens Bench in Canada is a specific part of the courts for common law). It's all about harm or damages. Whichever did the harm or damages to the other should pay for the damage. The legal code of Canada should not enter in, and through Queens Bench it won't.

Feminists publicly claim they are seeking equality, but when you look at the direct results of their acts and their lobbying it is anything but. They are seeking supremacy, not equality. Don't believe me? Take some of their even mildly controversial statements and flip the male and female roles around and tell me if men said such things would it even be tolerated for a second?

I think true feminists only want equal rights. The trouble is that many women also likely feel resentment for having to fight men for these rights in the first place and that the process is taking far too long, therefore they become radical feminists.

While I do have a problem with these feminazis (in the article) claiming to be victims of harassment over a simple disagreement, meanwhile it was they who were clearly doing the actual harassing, I think the bigger picture here and what is of far greater significance is that the government is considering the viewpoint that "feeling" (as opposed to actually "being") harassed may be enough to convict someone of criminal harassment.

I read somewhere that the intake of Phthalate esters disrupt the endocrine system, thereby making men less masculine and women more masculine. The bad news is that this chemical is present in a lot of consumer products (such as plastic bowls and condoms). That said, we should worry more about the risk of cancer which arise from the intake of Phthalates. It is a known carcinogen.

The modern feminist movement as it stands is of Marxist origins and is part of a larger strategy of destroying the family unit and social cohesion of western society. It sounds absurd, but if you study Marxist theory you will be amazed at how many of those ideas are being supported and pushed successfully by the "liberals" in the US, and most successfully by self proclaimed feminists. The problem everyone is so ignorant of history they don't see this ideology finding new life eating out the substance of the USA under the guise of progressivism.
