So I just switched over from a PC to a Mac and I have noticed the GUI for Bitcoin Core on a Mac is quite different than what it is on Windows. I'm trying to export private keys, but cannot find the debug window in the application. I googled a bit and found the instructions to run bitcoind but to be honest I've mostly been a Windows user all my life and I am relatively new to OS X. I am sorry if this sounds like a newbie question.

Try under the "Help" menu...near the top of the screen, left.

Try under the "Help" menu...I didn't check on v0.11.0 but that is where it has been on earlier versions.

That's the thing though, there is no menubar on the Mac GUI, just the send/recieve/transactions/overview tabs. I think I have to use the OS X console.

Oh, LOL I found the toolbar. Wow, I really am not used to the Mac operating system. Turns out the toolbar under OS X is positioned in such a way it looks like a start menu bar.

Im not entirely sure what its called, but yes the top bar that is on windows and most linux system directly attached to each of the windows is at a different place for MacOS and some versions of Ubuntu.

MacOS:

Its at the top of the screen if bitcoin core is active.

Sorry for the potato quality, I have no Mac and problems to get an install image from a safe source for it to run on a VM.

Im not really here, its just your imagination.

Thank you for the post. That is great for other people moving over from Windows/Linux.
