Depends if the bank wants to do good and make money or just make money and only adapt when they are forced to.  If you watch the recent live stream of blockchain for social good you can see many ways in which the financial services could change for the better of humanity.

the biggest advantage if you ask me is that you can send and receive money 24/7 which gets rid of the shitty working hours restrictions. it's 2015 and banks still don't process anything after and before working hours, also not in the weekends. that must change.
