Ivana Trump rejects rape allegations, says she and Donald Trump are ‘the best of friends’



“Donald and I are the best of friends and together have raised three children that we love and are very proud of. I have nothing but fondness for Donald and wish him the best of luck on his campaign,” she said.

“Incidentally, I think he would make an incredible President,” Ivana Trump, who divorced her husband in 1992, added.

The surprisingly warm endorsement comes just hours after the Daily Beast quoted Cohen irately defending Trump from the allegations — which stem from the 1993 book “The Last Tycoon: The Many Lives of Donald J. Trump” by Harry Hurt III — and explaining that even though Trump didn’t commit the heinous act, that it’s legal to rape one’s spouse.

Cohen on Tuesday morning apologized for the remarks, admitting in an email to the Daily News that he “made an inarticulate comment.”

The Donald is doing an interesting thing in politics. The US needs a rogue voice to inject some honest opinion and direct conversation in the usual pre-scripted political dialogue. It's also interesting to see how his competitors respond. Some rise (yes rise) to that level of honesty and direct approach, most will not. This could lead voters to vote Democrat (i.e., Hillary) if they think that Trump represents the "crazyiness of the Republican party".

The problem I have with Trump (aside from not agreeing with some of his opinions) is that he doesn't appear to understand that he needs to represent the Country, not himself. A guy representing a country can't make off the cuff remarks that are potentially slander to a race of or large group of people.

Penn Jillette has an interesting opinion on the Donald and his candidacy (aside from the personal feud Donald seems to have with him.)

This is so early in the campaign. Who knows how far he will go. He has personal, selfish reasons to make america great again. A booming america is good for the trump universe. He is in love with himself. All politicians are in love with themselves. Trump is very open about it. Not an hypocrite. Also not a dummy. Politically he is not a hardcore republican, nor was he a hardcore democrat. He is a businessman. Hillary says she is an open book (not an open email server, but that's for another thread of mine). Who's life was more public than trump through all those years?

I believe it is refreshing to have someone who will not cave after the first so called "mistress" will eventually come out of the cornfield, with attorney gloria allred holding her hands. You know he does not give a crap and will sue gloria until she loses her teeth.

The illegal criminals, are problematic. Not until trump talked about it, no other republicans dared talked about it, fearing of losing the hispanic vote.

Donald Trump Leads ALL GOP Candidates With Hispanic Voters, Records 34% Favorability

Presidential candidate Donald Trump leads other GOP contenders among Hispanics, a recent poll shows.

Trump recorded a 34% favorability rating among Hispanics in a national poll conducted by Public Policy Polling (PPP) among 1,087 registered voters between July 20-21.

Trump has made immigration a seminal part of his campaign, receiving praise, but also criticism, from the political left and right.

During a much-publicized visit to the border in Laredo, TX last Thursday, Trump told reporters he thought he would “win the Hispanic vote.”

Gov. Bush (R-FL) follows Trump with a 31% favorability rating among Hispanics, and Senator Cruz is close behind with 30%.

Senators Marco Rubio (R-FL) and Rand Paul (R-KY) both recorded 29%, Gov. Scott Walker (WI-R) 26%, and businesswoman Carly Fiorina 25%.

Rounding out the poll was Gov. Chris Christie (R-NJ) with 21%, and former Gov. Mike Huckabee (R-AR) and neurosurgeon Dr. Ben Carson, both with 16%.

For anyone slightly confused as to why Donald Trump was at Scotland’s famous Turnberry golf course, the US presidential hopeful, had the best response.

Arriving for the Women’s British Open at Turnberry – the hotel and golf course that Mr Trump purchased in April 2014 and renamed Trump Turnberry – the controversial Republican presidential candidate was asked by a Scottish reporter whether his celebrity appearance might detract from the golf tournament.

“Everyone’s asked me to be here: the Tour’s asked me to be here, the world has asked me to be here,” he said.

The businessman is set to be at the tournament for two days before returning to the US, with the Women’s British Open the first major event staged at Turnberry since Mr Trump bought the property and land.

Donald Trump charged Wednesday that a sexually 'deviant' former congressman who is married to Hillary Clinton's closest aide has likely seen the contents of classified emails that passed through the former secretary of state's private home-brew server.

Huma Abedin, the Pakistani-American chief of staff to Clinton, was wed in 2010 to then-Congressman Anthony Weiner, the Democrat whose star fell to earth amid lewd sexting scandals.

Republicans in Washington are furious with Clinton for destroying tens of thousands of emails dating from her time in office, and for including classified information in an unknown number of others.

Trump told DailyMail.com during a wide-ranging interview in his New York City Office that 'the person seeing her emails more than anybody else is Huma. And who's Huma married to? The worst deviant in the United States of America, right? Weiner!'

Challenged on whether the former New York congressman is actually the nation's 'worst deviant,' Trump retreated an inch: 'Well, he's right up there.'

Abedin holds a security clearance as a former State Department deputy chief of staff, of the kind that would typically come with detailed guidance on what kind of information must be kept secret from family members, including spouses.

Weiner was forced out of Congress in disgrace after a string of lewd online behaviors was uncovered, mostly revolving around Twitter.

Trump said his actions were 'shocking and disgusting' and questioned whether 'anyone that untrustworthy' should be 'anywhere around national secrets.'

The McClatchy news service reported Thursday that so far, information in the classified emails idenfidied as having resided on Clinton’s private server has been traced back to five different U.S. intelligence agencies.

There is no evidence that Weiner himself has been made privy to sensitive or classified information, but such a lapse in data security would create a new headache for Clinton, who is gamely keeping her presidential candidacy afloat while investigations swirl around her.

Clinton has insisted she never knowingly sent or receivd classified information in her emails while she was secretary of state. 'The facts are pretty clear,' she said last week in Iowa: 'I did not send nor receive anything that was classified at the time.'

Charles McCullough, the Intelligence Community Inspector General, has since said some materials in her emails were indeed classified at the time she interacted with them on her unsecured private email account.

Billionaire Donald Trump is blowing away his nearest competitor, Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, 2-to-1, in a poll of Iowa Republican voters released Friday by Gravis Marketing on behalf of One American News Network.

Trump has a 15-point lead over Walker in the poll taken of 227 registered Republican voters in the Hawkeye State, asked Wednesday who among the GOP candidates for president they would vote for if the caucus were held today. The results, according to the poll:
Trump, 30.9 percent
Walker, 15.4 percent
Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, 10 percent
Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, 7.2 percent
Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, 6 percent
