For sure it is a warning message. It is clearly told that the message come to you is from an impostor. He is a newbie and for some reason that only he/she know he had hidden his identity to you. Maybe you wait something from a veteran member (some offer or something else) and the impostor had hide their identity to deceive you.

Yes, it is automatically applied whenever you receive a PM from a newbie. It is to prevent people from being tricked into thinking they are receiving a PM from a older user when someone creates an account with a similar sounding username. (e.g. theymos vs thejmos)

It's just a generic message that is applied to all newbies. Could be a completely innocent message from a newb for all we know but the message will be applied any way.

This is the post by theymos stating that he added this heading to all PMs sent by newbies: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1043941.0He add this because there are many newbies creating accounts to look like other's username, and intended to he him/her,and scam the person who is dealing with him/her.

Or 'Quiekseller' lol Yeah I've had a few PM's from imposters over the last 5 or 6 months. I think it's a good thing the mods brought in to protect naive people from ass hole scammers. Some people aren't vigiliant enough to protect themselves they need help from others.

That particular user doesn't have a name that matches any other users. I think he was just a person seeing if i would take the bait or just a newbie that doesn't know any better. Can't really report his PM he didn't do anything wrong Directly.

Can't really report his PM he didn't do anything wrong Directly. If there is nothing wrong, no reason to write a report to mods - which is not to be used for scams anyway. Its just to make it very clear that you are dealing with a newbie, if you already know that its fine.
