Agreed, I want some transparency. And I still don't see how asking for donations is deserving of a scammer tag. There was no promise of repayment. Even under false pretenses, at worst this makes him/her an ass, but not a scammer. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. Anyways, I could care less. I found this as an interesting experiment in human sociology, and I'm kind of disappointed they got a scammer tag.

well an update, I didn't go to RI. Got my refund. I got a message from my uncle on Facebook that my mom died from a car crash 2 weeks ago. No one knew how to contact me but I'm going to upstate NY to pay my respects. This is becoming a pretty shitty day, thanks a lot.

Okay, Raize has sent me the evidence indicating that Jackie is a male prankster with an unsavory online background. While I wouldn't call it "conclusive proof," it does seem that the most prudent course of action would be to ask "Jackie" to prove she is what she claims to be and, as a matter of fact, a photo with her username  (shoe on head optional) would indeed negate much of Raize's conclusions.

Since it seems likely that I may have been duped into helping this person set up a standalone blog simply for collecting donations under false pretenses, as soon as I have access to my computer, I'll be removing the content from public display until "Jackie" comes forward and clears her name.

Ironically, I was about to defend Jackie before she posted about going to her mother's funeral. Real or not, she must be unaware of how frequently strangers asking for money use that tactic.
