These Proof-of-Existence platforms provides a smart tamper-proof way of storing encrypted information on the Bitcoin blockchain. Each file stored on the blockchain will be associated with a unique irreplicable transaction hash. These transaction hashes will act as a reference to the documents stored on the blockchain. Anything once written on to the blockchain will be stored forever, without any way of deleting it and that is what makes it an ideal electronic system to certify and store documents.


i'm not aware of any alt using this but i'm may be wrong, it seems a concept that is born recently

http://www.proofofexistence.com/ has been around for a year, there is one altcoin that added this to their wallet but i have to get back on you with the name of the altcoin, is pretty handy tool when it comes to public proof since sometimes a sign msg might not be enough.

Proof of Existence is just taking the hash of something and storing that hash in the blockchain using a transaction with OP_RETURN. Since the blockchain stores all of the transactions confirmed, once that transaction is confirmed, it can be referenced again to prove that a particular document existed since all hashes are unique.
