How long did it take you to make 1 BTC?

It took me around 100 days to make my first 1 btc but after that every thing got fast. So how long did it take you to make the first btc? and I would like to know how did you get those. I got mine mostly by selling services and small faucets

Edit: Buying doesn't count, So now that's out of the way the results would be interesting to see.

I have never bought a single BTC in my life, when i first found out about the bitcoin network it was pretty hard but after i managed to collect 1 BTC i turned it into 46 BTC the same day.

Wow! That's real nice, were those converted to 46 btc by gambling? Or any method u like to share And Same I have never bought a single btc for my self all earned

I got mine by selling a lot of Digital goods and doing services like CS:GO boosting here or on other forums . It took me more then 180 days though but it worth it now I'am making more and planning to hold them

We are talking about earning here, not buying I think you misread it , We know that we can buy bitcoins almost instantly from exchanges but this thread is not about that, We are talking about how long did it take you to make your first btc without buying.

I bought my first bitcoin and I think people should do the same. One bitcoin is not a lot of money when you save some money every month. Bitcoin need us and new users buying it to grow.

This is the best and easiest way if you really want to get involved. Just take the sour pill and spend some money to get it instead of wasting ages..

it depend, it took me 2 months for my first bitcoin, but my record was in few seconds with instamine, i still remember it... pandacoin was the shit back then

It took me 5 days until I didn't learn how to buy it from localbitcoins, my SEPA didn't clear etc..
So I didn't earn it, I bought it!

I needed about 6 months to make my first 1 BTC but I had different strategies to achieve that.
I didn't invest my own money here but find a way how to earn this bitcoin slowly, over time, mostly through signature campaigns.
I hope that this 1 BTC now will be worth a lot more later

Today it's obvious you can't make 1 btc easily, but if the question is retroactive, aka in the old days, it took me under a minute to
get 5 btc from bitcoin faucet. Now if only we could turn back time..

When it came to earning BTC it would have taken me a month around the back-end of 2013 to earn 1 BTC. That would have been through a forum signature campaign.

Which when you consider back then Bitcoin was at a high, it was a really generous offering.

I'm not exactly sure about this. I remember that I've sold 1 BTC to test it out after about 5 months of involvement. However, I had some more so I can't be certain.
I'm going to say anywhere between 2 and 5 months. I'm pretty sure that a few member can remember (and have participated in) the Inputs.io signature campaign as well.

Actually when I joined, I used a Radeon 6770 and mined 0.1 within a week. The times were different, and getting to know Bitcoin took time and experimentation.
