Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

That's a pretty old article (mid of may 2015). Don't know why you posted this.
However I would like to know how they are doing right now. It's been quite around them since a while.
