A2 Mega Help!!!!

I just got my scrypt miner setup and running but everytime i click "Run" and it starts minining, it shuts down after about 5 minutes? HelP!!

How hot is your room?  Use a watt-meter and see how much power the A2 is pulling.

Did you over-clock the unit?  Trying under-clocking it so it uses less power. 

Also - are all the fans working?

does the actual miner stop running or just the program ?

5 out of the 6 fans are running. ANd i under clocked it and it still shuts down. The program doesn't shut off, just the entire unit. ALso, it's weird that it is on constantly until I actually enable "run". Hopefully it's just a faulty supply or fan. Also, the lights inside are blinking. P.s I'm a total newb if you guys couldn't tell lol

I had a miner that did that the blinking lights that is.  The miner will eventually turn itself off if the ASICs can't intilize
Which is what the blinking lights issue is.

First you want flash the sd card with a clean new image, if that fails try a new rasbery pi
That's how I fixed one of my boxes, the pi was bad

Sounds good, do you know where I could get that image? ANd when I plugged in my SD card I could only find one image. It was a file entitled "Kernel" and it's really small. Maybe the sd card did not come with the image in the first place and that's why it's flashing lights?

I dont know what you mean by image , there should be a bunch of files on the sd card not just one.

remeber the mega image is for the 12chip boards  (terminators)

and the other image is for the older 8chip.

you need to use a flashing tool to flash the correct image to you SD card, it takes like 10 mins

I reflashed the SD card and it still does the same thing. I purchased and installed a new fan and now it stays on longer. For approximately 5 more minutes but still shuts itself down. I purchased a new PI and hopefully this will solve my problem.

I just got one from zoom hash that is doing the same thing.  It also stops mining after a minute and the status will show stopped.  I've tried to mine on a few different multi and single pools no luck.  When it stops mining it will show "Status: Stop" but the fans will stay on and I can hit the conf button and it will show green "run" but not getting anything in the pools.  I sent a support ticket and after a few emails/days I received a new PSU.  I got it all plugged up and it's doing the SAME THING!!  Damnit!  I've mined BTC for a little over 1yr but this is my first scrypt machine.  I'm not even sure if this is one problem or two.  Instead of reflashing the card I'm just going to flash a different card so I can test to see if its the card.  That happened to a antminer s2 that I had before.  If I have any luck I'll give an update.

You can turn on logging when you run start the miner, then when it switches to stopped, just use the button to download the log - then you'll be able to see what CGMiner is unhappy about.
