So this is pretty much an impossible miner to run at home with that kind of power draw from one socket. I am confused on how you expect there the reviewers to run it as most don't have custom power configurations for reviews.

A 240V 30A circuit will do the trick with room to spare. Not too hard to set up for home use.

It's going to dissipate 4800W within an ATX form factor, with four 120MM fans? That feels like a stretch to me. I'll be very interested to see what you find inside. I think of the crazy loud S5 which dissipates 600W let's say. So this will be roughly on the oder of eight S5's within an ATX chassis, with half as many fans? Very impressive if accurate.

Even if you can't get one of their new units, their website suggests that you buy an S5 for $199.  Might be a good consolation prize.

I've also been selected to write a review of the unit.  I'll be running it in a controlled temp server room, so I dont see any issues with the heat.  but we'll see when the unit comes how they've engineered it to dissipate.

we need philipma to get in on this also, if a handful of us trusted members receive test units that would surely dispel some of the skepticism surrounding this thing

The architecture and design is amazing.

Yes, I did.  I'm just trying to figure out why 1) they're asking people to post review threads before a unit is received, 2) they're selecting reviewers with 0 or next to 0 trust ratings to be the reviewers, 3) they would launch a product as important to their company as this from an account with negative trust.  Perhaps it will be explained to me in a response to my sent message.  I'd love one of these units as much as the next guy, but the red flags are starting to pile up already.  Hopefully I will be proven wrong as a skeptic.  Nothing would please me more.

PLEASE DO NOT ORDER AN S5 FROM THIS COMPANY FOR $199.

While I told them I'd be happy to review a test unit for them, I can tell you that this alone raises red flags for me.

There's no reason to sell an S5 for $199. The market price is twice that.

Exactly.  You would also select trustworthy reviewers and wouldn't ask them to make multiple threads, especially before a unit is received, nor would you offer them for sale prior to the reviews being posted.  If this is a legitimate product (probably a 1 in 500 chance), they could use some serious help with their marketing.

I would advise anyone against ordering anything from them, before the reviews of their device are posted by the old guard.

If they are legit and having 30 units avail I'm all but certain you'd get one.. I've also PM'd philipma

I sincerely hope these guys are real, red flags aside they would be a legit outfit in the hardware game.  We need one of their engineers or something to post some spec sheets of their chips and chassis

only time will tell I guess
