are they trustworthy? I want to stay in the BtC game but I have yet to pre-order from anyone.

Doesn't make sense to pre-order from BFL b/c there's a long line

Missed out on AVALON pre-order.

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

Tom said yes. From my understanding he will receive all boards in the same shipment from the maker.

What will the mining software for this asic look like for windows?
Similar to what the quad miner has?

As a lowly window gui client user should I be too concerned?

I believe support for the bASIC is being added to bfgminer by Luke-Jr. Top notch program.

Tom's thread where he announces it starts here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=79637.msg1157524#msg1157524

Most of your questions have already been answered in that thread. He is currently making a new website which will release a few more details about the ASIC.
