Man City is in Liverpool's head. Whenever they face City they something goes wrong. They were lucky that Matip equalized at 77th minutes or they were losing the match in the regular time.

And how come Wijnaldum missed that penalty?  

Overall match, Liverpool were still the better side, maybe slightly.

I understand but there are no point if they lose the match eventually.
It will be interesting to see how they do in this season. Liverpool is not gonna love to stay behind City again.

Liverpool and Manchester City have given the best performance in the match. although we realize that liverpool really dominates the match, but what can they do, they still don't get trophies. For next season, I'm sure Liverpool certainly don't want to be behind Manchester again.

Manchester United is reportedly just one step away from announcing the transfer of Harry Maguire. Transfer worth 80 million pounds sterling is believed to have been agreed. Maguire became the main target of Manchester United this summer. After a number of offers were rejected, reportedly Leicester City had received the latest proposal worth 80 million pounds.

I saw MU fans allover social media being so excited about Harry's signing. I even saw a video of what i believe were ultras celebrating out on a street with flares as though MU had just won a huge trophy

That wasn't luck as they did deserve that goal and even more if only salah wasn't full of himself, he couldn't finish two clear chances in the second half, (that's why I prefer mane than him though). Something happened which most people aren't aware of during the match, the almighty  Virgil van Dijk  was finally beaten as Gabriel Jesus dribbled past him breaking his record. We should be expecting this from other players as the season progresses, Liverpool defensive won't be as impressive as they were last season.

Everton has got a Moise Kean from Juventus and now rumors are circulating that Everton is trying to bring Rakitic from Barcelona, ​​Everton will be a strong contender for the top team EPL.

Rakitic will be a great addition to the team.
I like that Everton tries to make such signings that will make them a challenger of the league title. I hope that the big clubs would do like that, but it seems like they gave up on further transfers.

And finally Wijnaldum wasn't confident as he approached the ball, I remember whispering to my friends watching the match with me that he'll miss the plenty, Allison on his part was just diving the wrong way and I wasn't impressed.

Allison dives 2 times into the correct corner but didn't get the chance to block the ball. My friends told me Lallana, Salah will miss too but they were wrong. The point is, they are human, not some machine which will always do everything correctly. Training should help to build their instinct but in penalties everything is possible.

Liverpool played a good second half, Salah needs to fix his decision making for the next season, he could easily pass one or two balls into the center and make Firminho or any other player to make a better shot. Liverpool has at least 3 key chances that could have easily converted into a goal if Salah made a better decision.

City was really good in the first half, playing a dangerous through ball and make Liverpool defenses need to work really hard. I do think the result was pretty much okay. They play more on less on the same level and one or two different decision could turn the match around. It will be interesting to see how their rivalry goes on over the next season.

These two clubs are Liverpool and Manchester United rivals who have been fighting for a long time who is stronger, they are a great club but for a number of seasons Liverpool have dominated more than Manchester United.

But, Manchester City has better players sitting on the bench and as the championship goes to its end, they will need fresh legs to play in some games. Liverpool is going to lose the title the same way they did last year.

Indeed, both teams are of the same quality.

In my opinion, they aren't, Manchester City plays a possessive style of football, they love to have possession of the ball and build their play from the back while Liverpool plays mostly counter attacking style of football although both, are attack minded teams. Liverpool defense won't be as impressive as last season that I can assure you and that'll cost them. Remember city wasn't as impressive as the 2017/2018 season. Neither of this two who lift the trophy next season, keep an eyes on this clubs Chelsea, Manchester United and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Mignolet deserves to play so I think that’s why he left, he doesn’t see many games when Alisson is the number 1 at LFC. Adrian is OK so he is good enough to be a number 2.

It's a good thing for Liverpool to have got the keeper for free. And the problem is that Adrian will always be in the bench to be a substitute keeper for Alisson. Alisson will always be Liverpool's main goalkeeper for now.

Liverpool is a very good team, no doubt about that... we saw it last season even in the CL. Manchester City just has an upper hand against LFC when it comes to squad depth which is very vital at the business end of the season which so many other tournaments to play in and also when there are multiple injuries. This is the reason Manchester City was so hard to completely over take last season.

I believe this transfer period would have been a period of LFC to even reinforce more. With many more tournaments coming up like the International Champions Cup as a result of wining Champion's League.
Liverpool is going to find itself in an awkward position where key player will develop fatigue if not getting injuries towards the end of season. Remember that most of these key players have been participating in continental tournaments like COPA America and African Cup of Nations too not so long ago.

But anyways lets watch the first half of season and see how things will go.

We were talking about Liverpool vs Man City not Utd. Yes both City and Liverpool are showing great performance though out the season but when it comes to Liverpool vs Man City race, Liverpool is falling behind always.

Like last EPL they had very good start and in the middle they drew some matches and some unexpected results lost them their position from the point table leader.

I hope they won't let it to do this year.

I think the table will probably resemble last years, especially with the top three and City winning again, Liverpool coming in second and Spurs moving up from Fourth into Third. Hoping Wolves can do a bit better and push for top 5 but I doubt it as the competition is too strong. I'll be rooting for Liverpool to win though.

Finally football is back this weekend, I’m not interested in any kind of international football. It just isn’t anywhere as good & intense as the EPL. Liverpool kick off the season against Norwich on Friday noght. Perfect time to grab a few beers & have a bet watching the game.
