Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL)

Only one match worth betting on today and that's Chelsea vs Liverpool. Moneyline on Liverpool is a smooth @3.33 today so if I win that it'll cover losses from last week and turn in a small profit. Bookies are still surprisingly putting Liverpool as the underdog against all the top 6 teams, which is surprising to me. Not that I'm discounting Chelsea at all but the Reds have actually been performing quite well against all those big teams in the past few seasons... so maybe bookies know something I don't? Or am I just being a deluded fan?

Liverpool has a good track record against big teams, it has alway been that way, they seem to always win against big teams and then drop points with smaller teams, i think this is one of the reasons why they have progressed so far in this year's champions league, however, hopefully chelsea will win the game today, spurs lost and this is our game in hand so if we win, the gap will be closed to 2 points. If chelsea wins all oour remaining games and spurs lose any of their remaining 2, then chelsea will get the champions league spot.

Well, here we go. The bookies had it right after all, one of the most frustrating games to watch in recent times, or should I say recent PL games for Liverpool have been very frustrating, or have I just been too drunk on the goals previously?

OR has Chelsea become a team that plays with the mentality of a small team? Haha.

Anyway, looks like Spots 3 and 4 are all still up for grabs. Liverpool, Spurs, Chelsea, all just playing so inconsistently. Even United! City really deserved the title with their form and consistency. Hope things shake up for the Reds next season. Naby Keita and more according to Klopp. We're just so thin when the first choice squad is unavailable.

This will be the match between three top club that want a spot for the champions league. Well liverpool right now is probably focusing to win the champions league therefore even if they are out of top 4, they will still have a spot in it next year. The thing is, I cant believe that Liverpool was really going all out for this game and yet they cant win against chelsea

Most chances Liverpool will secure place for next UCL season at home because Brighton away form is not good and Liverpool right now playing very good soccer after this we have tough competition in two London clubs for fourth spot and Chelsea is good to go as Tottenham slipping badly

there seems to be nothing to worry about associated with liverpool ,, I'm sure the anfid gank will be able to finish in the top 4, but for champions league I confidently believe in supporting liverpool, though liverpool performance is good doubts remain if we remember the opponent is Madrid

yeah Liverpool waisted a lot of points lately they were battling with United over runners up but now they have to win their next match so that they can keep they UCL it's crazy how many points they lost even United lost some points but they still 2nd and guaranteed that position. While Spurs also seen some sloppiness and we may see revolution next year in terms of squad the team have been consistent the most in previous years but no trophy lifted till now and if a team would be remembered they have to win trophy's their league situation is still good only 4 points in the next two matches will get them their UCL ticket as for City I hope that Guardiola is aiming to get that 100 points finish not a lot have been seen that in EPL.

After today's result im pretty confident in Chelsea's Chances to finish in the top four, any slip up by spurs or liverpool and they'll be in trouble, all chelsea needs to focus on right now is winning our remaining games

You need to read the other reply first before you post because even if chelsea keep winning , they wont be bale to get into top four yet. They need tottenham to lose 1 match and I dont think that possible, Chelsea should probably stop hoping for this and It will be a miracle if Chelsea actually ended up winning the fourth spot from tottenham

It would be cruel but the possibility is there and they knew about it. I think the moment they realized they were entering the danger zone (not securing the top 4) was after the draw with West Brom, a team like Liverpool can't draw against a shitty club like West Brom and then draw vs Stoke City the following weekend...that's crazy. Liverpool can win at Anfield, sure, but they should've secured that champions league spot a long time ago.

It's nice to see the fact that the top four hunts are still open until the end of the competition. Liverpool has one game left while Chelsea still have two games. But, even if Liverpool fail to draw or win their last game and Chelsea can win the remaining two games, Liverpool's hope is still exist. It is by winning the Champions League final against Real Madrid.

You are right, but the best option to do for Liverpool is to win the last match on PL as it will make a harder way for Chelsea to take over the position unless Chelsea win the last two games with so many goals which is almost impossible to do IMO. Last match for Liverpool should be an easy match to win although Brighton & Hove Albion has just beaten MU.

If Liverpool win the champions league that will bring some pride back to the premier league as so far laliga keep dominating the champions league, I dont really like liverpool but they do need to be appreciated for this season great effort isnt it

I have doubt for Liverpool for a long time because they still have many flaus Salah alone would not help them win the UCL if that was true Barcelona would still playing in UCL because they still have Messi who is considered the best player in the world and he was not even alone he had some good players surrounding him while we can say that Liverpool have mediocre players that do not have the experience of playing in finals of UCL unlike Real Madrid whom reached their 3rd final in row with almost the same squad so they have much better experience then the English side also Liverpool needs to get their focus back on the league because if they drop more points they will be on danger of not making it to UCL next season unlike Madrid who will have players play relaxed until the finals so with this my conclusion is that Madrid have more then 90% chances to win the UCL one more time.
