I am very sure everyone who watched the Liverpool vs Mancity match was very disappointed. because actually this is a highly anticipated match. moreover they (gamblers) who have guessed the score over 2. they must have lost a lot of money. because nobody thinks that the score will end 0-0

Even though I didn't bet on it but, I can feel the disappointment. No one would have expected that the match will end as draw.

I'll agree I didn't play on this high profile match, but I can feel the disappointment it was billed as one of the biggest match in the league but turned out boring. I can't understand how the match turned out goalless despite the best attacking players of the league were there. I do hope when they meet again there'll be loads of goals, and I feel their next encounter would be crucial in deciding the title winner.

Many persons won money out after this big game although they were lucky that Manchester City missed a penalty as these persons played it as a draw. It is a boring weekend this one without games of the big major leagues while we are forced to see International teams in action and although surprises happen less in International tournaments, even these teams are making a bit of surprises, mostly the African teams.

Happy to see the proper football return this weekend, I hate international football. Pointless, boring shit that just interrupts the real stuff for me. We’re only 8 games into the PL & this was the 2nd international break. It’s ridiculous. Just a money spinner for UEFA, I mean WTF in the ‘Nations League’.

Well the excuse or reasoning that they've come out with is that the league is meant to replace international friendlies, because countries often don't take them seriously and there's nothing to really play for. Now there is with this league, but obviously it's also just another way for UEFA to milk some money out of the 'tournament'. England internationals whether it be friendlies or tournaments like the Euros or World Cups have always been on free-to-air 'terrestrial' TV for as long as I can remember so anyone with a TV could watch them, but now Sky Sports have bought the rights to the Nation's League and you have to be a Sky subscriber to watch them, which I think is pretty shit. As I've always said, money ruins everything, especially sports.

The Premier League has done away with title sponsorships now as it was a bit tacky renaming the league every time they get a new deal and most leagues around the world don't do it. I always found it annoying how pundits and players was forced to refer to it as the Barclay's Premier League, but I remember one funny time when I was listening to a game on the radio and Stan Collymore said, and I quote, "I'm sick of these Barclay's Premier League corners" lol. Not as funny without hearing him say it in the moment but to this day I still have no idea what a "premier league corner" is.  I think he just added the "Barclays" bit out of habit as he was still saying it after they removed the sponsorship. I think he even had a 'swear jar' for every time he slipped up eventually haha.

I think it was referred to as the Barclay's Premier League from 2007–16, though they sponsored it for a few years before that, and before them it was Carling (that takes me back).

Barclays has signed up as official banking partner of the Premier league after opting not to renew its title sponsorship of the competition. The Premier League has decided to pursue a strategy of having no title sponsor after Barclays decided against renewing its £40m-a-year sponsorship last year.

£40 million a year, just for their name on it. I don't know why some companies even bother with sponsorship. Is anyone going to bank with Barclays just because of the sponsorship? A more confusing one for me was when tyre companies like Pirelli and Continental sponsored things like the Champion's League. Does anybody choose their car tyres by brand? You usually just get what you're given when you go for new tyres.

I’ve got Chelsea to beat United, think I put 2-1 in our pool. I wouldn’t mind that game being a draw though so my boys LFC can gain points on both teams (assuming we beat Hiddersfield who haven’t won a game yet).

As a Manchester United fan,  I am very worried that this game came a bit too early for this team and with the whole confusion and division in the team, I am very certain that he Red Devils are going to lose this game and if they are not careful,  it's going to be by at least a three goal margin.

Cardiff vs Fulham is the other EPL game I picked for this week's Predictor competition and it's been interesting to see most people backing Fulham. As I mentioned in the thread, the Bluebirds recent form hasn't been great but they have had a few tough fixtures recently (Chelsea, Man City, Tottenham) and I think they could be pushing hard for points in this game before another nasty game away at Liverpool next week.

I have hospitality tickets for LFC vs Cardiff - 3 course meal with free drinks pre match & an hour free drinks after full time. Be my 3rd game at Anfield this season, looking forward to it. Not been since we beat Brighton 1-0 in August.

As boring as that sounds, that might actually be a great plan for Mou and co. Mourinho his defence is shit, and for a player like Hazard who's been absolutely fantastic in the EPL so far, Man Utd defence just looks like it could a walk in the park for the belgian player. But if Mou decides to put up a massive bus in front of De Gea, I think Chelsea could actually struggle like they did against West Ham where Pelligrini went for a very defensive but calculated defensive plan, that game ended 0-0. And given how good sometimes Man Utd counter attacks are, I wouldn't be surprised if they snatch the win in the last few minutes with a header from Lukaku or Fellaini

Hah!  I'm thinking either a draw cos Mou, or pure dominance by Chelsea cos United's defense is suspect.  But we'll see...

If there was a club United could do a shock win against this year, it's City away (again).

Since Newcastle United would be playing against Brighton & Hove Albion FC with home ground advantage this weekend, I guess this would be the best opportunity for Newcastle United to claim their first victory in the English Premier League this season.

They had the chance of getting their first win against Manchester United but it was not to be afte Manchester United gave on their comebacks we haven’t seen since the time of Alex Ferguson. But against Brighton and Hove at home, they have a great chance of winning.

That's damn cool, I've never been in a private box or anything for a big game. Closest I've probably been is a game sitting in the balcony section at Leyton Orient  

One of our sportsbook team just pointed out that 3/5 of the last Chelsea v Man Utd games played in London have ended 1-0 to Chelsea, which is making me feel a bit more secure about my picks for the predictor (although I usually take head-to-head stats with a pinch of salt, starting lineups and player attitudes can vary so much over time)

That's mostly Mike Ashley's fault.  He should commit a decent amount of money to acquire more players.  I'm not even talking about proven super stars.  But at least get the ones that have the potential they can develop just like what the Spurs or BVB does.
