Manchester City 8 - 0 Watford
I am sure no one expected this result. Watford played very well against Arsenal in the previous week. They had 52% possession and number of their shots on goal was more than 4 times Arsenal's shots.

Watford didn't quite play well in the first half of that game resulting to them conceding 2 goals in the first half. They also repeated that same mistake in the game against Manchester City which lead to 5 goals at the first half. Unfortunately for them Man City aren't Arsenal they can boss around and out played especially as they were out to  revenge their surprisedly defeat to Norwich City.

My worry isn't about Watford or the game but what will Liverpool do in retaliation to City's massive win. I just hope Chelsea aren't used as the scapegoat. City just aren't ready to give up. Liverpool's lost or draw would put the pressure back on them so we know neither of those outcome are an option for them. Nevertheless, Lampard please make us proud.

Five goals only in 18 minutes!

I didn't expect a big win like this from Man City but I did have a bet on over 3.5 goals as I thought Watford would score at least a goal in this match after their good performance against Arsenal the previous week. Lucky for me that Man City scored a lot of goals so I got my bet but I lost my parlay as I had both teams to score in this match. Man City also made Premier League history scoring 5 goals in 18 minutes as no other team has achieved this before.

@Harko, thanks for your wishes but I knew I was a sucker the moment I bet on Watford. They really made a mistake I think by getting a new manager so soon, and the supposed shift to defence went awfully wrong... but still, they shouldn't lose hope. As many pointed out, heads were down even by 15th minute. There's just a lack of leadership and inspiration.

They need to do 2 things now for me. Get motivated, put the horrible start behind them and remember last season's run and replicate that. Next, do well and go far in a cup competition, like the FA cup again!

P.S. I lost Watford but I won Sheffield, so still happy;)

City are so scary when they are angry but if you watched after 3-0, the Watford team were just so down in confidence. The keeper is better than he showed, and the defence was just too afraid to give penalties that they let themselves be bossed around.

Of course, let us still congratulate the defending champions. This was not the first time they score so many. If only Dealafeu put his chance away at 0-1!

Chelsea - Liverpool
Chelsea has been very bad at defence. They have conceded 11 goals only in five matches. They also lost the match against Valencia in the champions league. On the other hand, Liverpool has had a great performance and has scored three goals on each match on average. However Liverpool lost to Napoli in the champions league, I think they are more powerful than Chelsea and I expect them to win the match.
My prediction is 3-1 Liverpool.

Should be a an interesting game to see, I'm looking forward to an upset today. I have this slight believe that Chelsea could string a surprise today. Liverpool are in top form in the EPL but you never never can tell.

West Ham vs Manchester Utd is another match to look forward, The reds are without a host of key players including Pogba and Martial, will they be able to defeat a similarly inform West Ham. I think this could end up as a draw.

I am expecting a nice match with many goals here - Chelsea have been scoring a lot and we dont need to discuss Liverpools offensive abilities. My bet is on the over for sure. Cant wait for the match!

Another big test for Liverpool champion amibitions  today, it won't be an easy game for them.

Last time when they played against  Chelsea they barely won (UEFA Supercup, 2:2 5:4 after penalties) and i expect another tough game. Draw might be the most realistic outcome.

Chelsea vs Liverpool, not sure about you lot but my all preparation is to watch the match. The way City destroyed Watford yesterday, it seemed that they were angry LOL. Liverpool needs to show same kind of aggression to warn City that they (Liverpool) are the boss is EPL. I was predicting a 2 - 1 win for Liverpool but I am thinking to change my prediction to 3 - 1 or 4 - 1 (It's just gut feeling)

Fernandinho looked comfortable in defense with otamendi because Watford didn't have anything going their way when they went forward, they never for once put the city backline under pressure, except in the first 5 minutes of the game when otamendi's blushes were exposed in a one v one situation, city are unstoppable going forward, but until Laporte and Stones returns, there would always be a huge question mark over city's defense.

Crystal Palace vs Wolves → Crystal Palace Wins

I have a big doubt on this one, I think it's either wolves wins this one, or it ends in a draw. If I'm to predict it'll be a 2-2 draw.

We all expected Manchester City to respond strongly after losing to Norwich but 8-0 is a huge statement and am sure all premier league teams will be cautious playing against them and with that result puts some pressure on Liverpool who play a tricky match against Chelsea.

Yeah that's true.  But I still think he'll do a good job at CB.  And he's used to a tough defensive role with him being the first line if defense vs counter attacks when he was playing DM.
