I'm a fairly new miner and haven't bought and real equipment(I'm using gui-scrypt miner). Coinotron.com tells me I'm receiving payment for LTC and Dogecoin even though I've only set my miners to mine LTC. Am I dividing my Khashes between the two and actually mining both? Or is Coinotron.com just wrong?

You want this forum section:
Bitcoin Forum > Alternate cryptocurrencies > Mining (Altcoins)

Dogecoin changed a good while back to be able to perform merged mining with Litecoin.  http://www.coindesk.com/dogecoin-celebrates-litecoin-merge-mining/
You can basically mine both at the same time at little to no cost in hashing power.  If you'd like to know more, google "merged mining" and/or "merge mining".  E.g. https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Merged_mining_specification / http://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/questions/273/how-does-merged-mining-work are about NameCoin and Bitcoin merged mining, but the same principles apply to other coins that can be mined together in this manner.

I haven't tried them however I believe they are a multipool. which means they switch coins. First ask them why.

You also might want to try www.litecoinpool.org another paypershare. I also have great success with xpool.ca and use a litecoin address as a user. They pay fast too.
I use nvidia 750ti and get an average hash of 250kh.

DOGE is merged mined with LTC now days.

Basically you spin the DOGE network for free while mining Litecoin.

DOGE gives LTC miners 5,250,000,000 DOGE for free per year and it cost the LTC miners nothing in return.  No extra electricity is used for merge mining.

The same with BTC/Namecoin and others.

Google merge mining.
