I've been trying to find a replacement, but none satisfies me enough, the layout on blockchain.info was too nice.

Any chances at a clone that doesn't commit the terrible mistakes we had in the past by blockchain.info?
Make sure you back up your wallet regularly! Unlike a bank account, nobody can help you if you lose access to your BTC.

... you think some other group that has a smaller skill set and a smaller budget would do better?

Are you referring to the wallet or as a block explorer?

IMO he is concerned about the terrible mistakes and should refer to the wallet! The mistakes cause many users lose money! If as a block explore, we can find many replacements easily without any concern!

The level of security on online wallets can't compete with the local wallets! Why not use local wallets? You control your own private key and ease the concerns!

This... blockchain is a great "spending" wallet... one should NEVER store large amounts of bitcoin on an online wallet.  Offline is the ONLY way to go.

There is no really secure for online wallet, but if you really need online wallet so bad, there are some bitcoin wallet online which more secure and have more features for the security, like greenaddress or bitgo but don't expecting too much on them. the best way is use cold wallet.
