HOW TO CHANGE DIFFUCULTY OF ANT MINER S5

Dear friends I own two S5.They work at Antpool.However they do not perform the same.

I assume the difference is due to the 'diffuculty' .Would any one tell me the optical diffuculty level for S5 and how to set (change) the diffuculty level.

I believe antpool is picking the "best" difficulty.   As you mine the pool changes depending on how your miner is doing.

I have used this standard where it auto picks difficulty without any problems with antpool.

Its not the difficulty. That only affect accepted rate and hash swings on pool side. They can take a long time to average out regardless. If you really have a 20gh difference it can be for many reasons. If its really a big deal to you, post a screenshot of both miner status.

Also i'd say try another pool, like https://www.kano.is/index.php

At my daily job we own a case book (where all the cases we faced is recorded) and detailed control book where service people and user controls are recorded.

I have searhed how to change diffuculty from Bitmain's web site and Dogie's explanations.However I could not find so I decided to open the topic.notlist3d informed me that it may be controlled automatically by the pool.I will observe and if I see a change at diffuculty I will send you a feed back and share my experiences.

Its mostly pool sided.

For Nicehash you would use d=1024 as password for example. d=1536 would work probably, any lower would prolly get overidden to 2048. 4096 isint bad but personally i would use lower. Again, not that it really matter payout wise.

For Kanopool you would cap at 1042 anyways but you're allowed to set difficulty in your worker settings poolside. Even though at that speed it would probably get set to 1042 anyways.

you can try as a password but it won't work on the antpool it adjust it self .


but the way you can try it use the password like this is still works on sites that allow it ant pool doesn't

etc as your password

If you mean the 5 second speed, its normal to vary a lot. Its not normal for an S5 at stock clock to drop under 1000 overall however, even if its 4k dif.

it took me a few hours but I got them all on one port thu a proxy the Diff does sty the same so far can't really tell on hash yet or haven't looked other then at the miners  ui on  my S5's .from what i can tell the hash is more sable. I have them all running thu a Proxy PI on port 8888 . gonna test that a few days . Like this

Cheers, i still recommend trying other pools for better payout and keeping BTC decentralized! (Antminer keep all of the transaction fee which is quite a bit)

I have overcome my problem by changing the port settings.As far as I know Bitmain pools are giving the highest (reward).My third pool is Slush's pool.It is not convenient to talk about pool profitability under this topic, but I would very much appreciate if there is a more profitable pool.

Like i said, Antminer pool has lower payouts because they keep all Tx fees. Which mean a pool that take a small % will have better payouts. Its okay to check the %fee but you need to check what they do with Tx Fees which Bitmain cleverly keep and say they take 0% of the hashrate.

For instance its possible for a block to have 1 btc of tx fee in it, if they keep it that mean they kept something like 4%. So no they don't have the highest reward at all. Tx fee could be easily 2%, i'm not sure of the average however.

I recommended to try Kano and judge for yourself. What is your second pool?

I am familiar with electronics but definitely a newby about pools.However, nalysing the link below I think antpool performs and distrubutes higher.If you can share your earnings in a defined period, lets say past week and the week ahead we can compare results or we can follow a procedure you recommend.I am not defending antpool and ready to learn more and earn more.Every help and recommendations about pool selection is accepted.Thanks in advance for sharing your knowledge and experience.

There's a thread that show antpool pay less, for most likely the reason i said. Antpool does NOT payout tx reward. It's in the pool section, let me know if you can't find it. You're free to use antpool but you will have slightly lower payouts overall and you are helping china centralizing BTC hashrate.

Looking at the data I am confused by your conclusion. To me it looks like Antpool is the best, closely followed by Nicehash and the F2pool lags a bit, Kano is not comparable as it's a different payment scheme / much smaller pool.

Your concern about centralization is a true and serious one, and a threath that everybody must be aware of.

I have analysed the results.If the pool is big, their performance is more stable.On the otherhand if the pool is small it can perform better or worse compared to others, on the long term their income will be nearly the same.

Yes Kano takes 0.9% so its lower than "0%" minus 100% tx fee. Also Kano's pool is highly optimised code with a very low orphan count. So if we could get the hashrate there back up, we could have more "stable" return. But regardless, its been doing very awesome since i joined. After the 666.666666% block anyways
