It is just a name, but Amsterdamcoin and Amsterdex.com have not had correlation/ relationship.
I don't know that the two projects correlated each other.
Anyway, Amsterdex is a young exchange, with good UI, and should be considered by Amsterdamcoin team.
Amsterdex also provides free listings, so far.

I used to have some of these coins. I came back to see what's going on. Why is the trading volume absolutely zero? No interest or yobit is again not letting people to deposit/withdraw?

I was considering to buy some to start a MN which is as cheap as $30 at the moment. Which is too cheap for me to ignore. Wink I wish it had some volume. Even $500/day would suffice. But then a MN wouldn't cost $30...

I am not aware of it. I wasn't reading the thread for many months maybe a year. (maybe longer) If they did something like you said then it is better to stay away.

Dev kess is an honest man. Any project can encounter problems, but he is still close.

The bear market will end, many altcoins will increase again.

Surely AMS will be among them.

There are two promising decentralised exchanges:
- Snode exchange: https://exchange.snode.co/
- Cryptrade exchange: http://dex.cryptrade.io/market/
The Amsterdam team can make a quick investigation on these two exchanges, to see whether they are relevant for current phase of Amsterdam project or not.
If they are suitable (in aspect of listing fees), listing request should be sent ASAP.

Important announcement (March 15, 2019)

We have put zAMS (zerocoin) into maintenance mode due to a newly reported exploit found by the Pivx team.

We can confirm that AmsterdamCoin was not exploited during this time. zAMS will be re-enabled when a wallet update is released.

I was coming here to ask about this zerocoin exploit as I saw one of the PIVX devs post this in a few discord servers that use this feature. Its good to know that AMS wasn't exploited by this issue. Hopefully they have a wallet fix soon for this, thanks for the update Kees.

From what I have heard Kees is waiting to see what the Solaris community decide on the switch to Strat code base. If all goes well then AMS will also be switching to this code base which will open up more doors for developments as the PIVX code is having a lot of problems over the past 6 months so I think the switch is for the best for Solaris and also AMS.

IF Solaris project will succeed with their codebase switch from PIVX source to Stratis source, it will bring lots of changes and hope for PIVX-forked coins. It will be good for both Solaris, PIVX-forked coins and Stratis. However, it is just plans in to-do list of Solaris team, and we will have to wait for a long period to see how it goes. By the way, it is good to know that keeswedit has good relations to both Amsterdam and Solaris projects. In the Solaris project, Kees wrote that he is co-founder and core team member of Solaris.  Wink

thx , its online now ,i think my windows caused the problem , the firewall of windows blocked somehow....

but it working ...

any updates on AMS ? it would be nice to hear someting prositive about this coin ....

sum upsomming than
  • atm there are 35 MN online ( peanut) ...
  • asked price is 10 sats ( almost free) , you need 100k for an MN = so atm 1 MN cost you 0.01 btc for an money machine  Cool
  • tradeable on 2 exchanges --- yobit and coinexchange ----

altho the wallet seems to be online on yobit , but its not ..... i checked and i cant deposit ( i can send it but yobit does not receive).. so strike on yobit

what do we need to make this an real money making machine Huh
