I think we better go with something which has master nodes.
Master node purchases may boost the coin sales huge. I would rather go as a DASH or PIVX clone instead of Bitcoin.
As the poll points out for now we will be using PIVX With or without the see-saw rewards? Yes it will have Seesaw. Specifications will be: - Algorithm XEVAN (PoW and Spork messages)
- 60 seconds block time
- Difficulty retarget every block (Kimoto gravity well v3)
- 100.000 AMS masternode collateral
- Darksend (Obfuscation)
- InstantX (SwiftTX)
- PoS 3.0 protocol
- Seesaw reward balancing
- PoW block rewards: [block# 2-151200] 7.5 AMS [block# 151201-259200] 5 AMS
- PoW rewards breakdown:
- [block’s 2-432000] 20% MN (1.5 AMS) / 80% MINER (6 AMS)
- [block’s 43201-151200] 20% MN (1.5 AMS) / 70% MINER (5.25 AMS) / 10% Available to the budget system (0.75 AMS)
- [block’s 151201-259200] 45% MN (2.25 AMS) / 45% MINER (2.25 AMS) / 10% Available to the budget system ( 0.5 AMS)
- PoW ends at block 259200 (Approx 180 Days)
- PoW rewards: [block# 2-151200] 7.5 AMS [block# 151201-259200] 5 AMS
- PoS rewards breakdown
- [blocks 259201-302399] 4.75 AMS (90% distributed to staker and masternode - 10% available to budget system)
- [blocks 302400-345599] 4.5 AMS (90% distributed to staker and masternode - 10% available to budget system)
- [blocks 345600-388799] 4.25 AMS (90% distributed to staker and masternode - 10% available to budget system)
- [blocks 388800-431999] 4 AMS (90% distributed to staker and masternode - 10% available to budget system)
- [blocks 432000-475199] 3.75 AMS (90% distributed to staker and masternode - 10% available to budget system)
- [blocks 475200-518399] 3.5 AMS (90% distributed to staker and masternode - 10% available to budget system)
- [blocks 518400-561599] 3.25 AMS (90% distributed to staker and masternode - 10% available to budget system)
- [blocks 561600-604799] 3 AMS (90% distributed to staker and masternode - 10% available to budget system)
- [blocks 604800-647999] 2.25 AMS (90% distributed to staker and masternode - 10% available to budget system)
- [blocks 648000-Infinite] 2 AMS (90% distributed to staker and masternode - 10% available to budget system)
Wallet is currently in developement: https://github.com/CoinProjects/AmsterdamCoin-v4I like the plan! You need a budget/development system to help promote the coin and its development. I am glad you are implementing a reasonable system to support future development. I am very busy, but I am available to help out in any way I can with the support of AMS coin.

So if one buys coins right now, will the ratio be lower? Is the coin supply going to remain the same?

It will stay the same Okay. So will this be the same coin? Or will there be a new launch with new Masternodes? I am confused on this. Thanks

My wallet hasn't been syncing. It's been days. Anyone know whats up?
Any nodes I can add to sync.
If all hope lost, wait for the next update. This will solve everything. Greetz Steve I have been on the same situation for over a year now so i guess ill just wait for the new update ( no rush now ). Im glad to see Kees upgrading AMS, because i think the level of competitiveness is going for all time highs and for this project to succed you ned to be able to constantly improve and stay on the curve has they say... Has far as i understand there wont be a need to swap coins am i right? Thanks and keep up the good work

A few pages back in this thread there is a link to some recent chain data known as a bootstrap (synced up to a few days ago). I downloaded it and it helped me sync the chain instantly.

I just invested into this coin. I think AMS as a currency for Amsterdam would be great Any locals in the area actually accepting this currency yet? This coin has a fairly low supply and tiny marketcap. Combine that with Masternodes and I see some potential here. Looks like the Dev works hard and this community is growing. I look forward to the future of this coin. BTW.....CMC says this coin has a circulating supply of 9.6 million coins. I am hoping this is correct. Can anyone confirm this? Thanks

Thanks AMS has 60M coins total 20M are for development 10M are for the dev in about ten years 3.5M are burnt in the last swap So you get a supply of roughly 26.5 million coins at the moment. Please correct me if i'm wrong ;-)

I've downloaded the bootstrap and have still been stuck syncing on "10 hour behind" for almost a day now.
Getting a lot of orphaned blocks in the debug log. Any thoughts?
