Activity changes every 14 days. (If you had login in between without posting then your activity should increase after an hour of posting).

you will only have potential activity if you posted atleast once in each activity period so even your account is registered on 2013 but only posted in 2 activity periods then your activity will stuck at 28 and you will gain +14 points next week when activity period changes

would be nice to have a sticky thread in this section too, so people know how things ragarding ranks and activity work. currently it's only in the meta section.

here your last post on 2013 https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=212902.msg2259221#msg2259221

But after that you start posting again, i think your account didn't have potential activity so wait until next week update.

The activity number is determined in this way:
time = number of two-week periods in which you've posted since your registration
activity = min(time * 14, posts)

So it does not jump automatically by 14. You also need to write at least 14 posts.
You can compensate for weeks you did not post all 14 by writing more posts in another week.
You can never compensate a 14 day periods that you did not post at least 1 post.

The post can be found here: Activity & new membergroup limits

This is the correct explanation for the above question. There are many people selling newbie accounts just because they have created long back. If one don't post at least one post in every two weeks then those old accounts are as good as new accounts. But many buyer got cheated because they do not know the system is working.

At least you need 1 post for each 2 weeks and you can still increase your activity by that. But if you not post 1 post i think it's impossible to changing all, because every 2 weeks you only can increase your activity 14.

You probably reached your limit for this activity cycle. Next cycle starts the 18th. You get to be able to earn 14 activity points every two weeks.

yes if you fail to make atleast 1 post on a 2week period then you lost 14 activity points. posting atleast 1 in each activity period isnt really hard tho
