DEVELOPMENT UPDATE OCT 03 | SWAP DETAILS
Swap details with Bittrex have been finalized and our release is currently undergoing the mandatory code
review. During the next 5 days, deposits on Bittrex are open again for you to deposit your coins from the
old chain and get them automatically swapped to the new one. Users with balances on Livecoin don't need
to take any action, your balances will be automatically swapped by us in cooperation with Livecoin. Newly
minted coins after this period will not be eligible for a swap.
We will try everything possible to extend the swap period for 2 more weeks, during which you will need to
get in contact with us and verify your balance so we can swap it manually. We will take a snapshot of the
current chain in regular intervals up to the swap date to be able to verify your claims.

If you need to sync your wallet and are stuck, here is what you can do to add peers automatically at launch: (this explaination is for Windows, but is similar on other OSes as long as you change paths and filenames accordingly) 1. Use Windows key+R to open the Run window. 2. In the Run window, type %appdata%\Shift to open the Shift data folder. 3. Right inside this folder, create a file called static-nodes.json 4. Open this file in your text editor. 5. We're looking back at a very hectic, busy and stressful but nonetheless exciting few weeks. Right now, our new Lisk-based
testnet is running stable with the support from new and old community members alike. This means we have our new DPOS
release pending and are currently finalizing the swap details with Bittrex.
Once the code review from Bittrex is done, we will provide them with the sufficient amount of coins to swap balances from
the new to the old chain 1:1. For a limited time, deposits will be re-enabled so you can send your coins there for the swap.
Further details about the swap duration, end of PoW and more will be released early next week (between Oct 3rd
and 5th). As this isn't something we have done before or anyone does regularly we would like to ask you to check
back here often over the next days while we provide updates as the situation is progressing.

Hi team, the guys have a problem with the pool www.shift-pool.com coins are not output from there for 11 days. Please in the pool administrator.and the second time, Fantom purse, where there are coins, I have to change something or coins will be transferred automatically to the new? |

Swaps are very amateur and can be used to scam people. Is there anyway private keys can be forward compatible?
I'd rather stop PoW mining in the coming days and wait until Ethereum 2.0 PoS is out. Then bring the chain back online at that time.

If you have coins in your local wallet you need to send them to Bittrex where they will be swapped to the new chain. We'll try to get in touch with the shiftpool admin. |

Private keys are not cross-chain compatible, if that's what you are asking. |

I'm not sure I understand that question but usually you wouldn't have any change left over if you send everything? |

Thanks for all the hard work devs! And good tip for getting the wallets synced, I was having issues for a few days but got all synced up in a few hours after putting that JSON file in there. Now just need to transfer all the shift I've been hoarding A question on mining; is there an official POW mining end date? And what should we do with the coins we are currently mining? I switched over to mining straight to Bittrex, but will the auto swap keep going up until POW officially ends? |
