i think Barcelona had it because adore this time around as Madrid prioritized the champions league over the domestic league and so the competition lacked the quality to test Barcelona really well but I congratulate them anyway it's impressive to win it 7 out of 10 times.

Bold prediction, especially if you look at how good Barcelona has been in the league so far (unbeaten). The guard of honour was hyped by the media, no one really cares about that other than the spanish newspapers.

whatever the results of this game Barcelona still the champion of Laliga this year and yes i do agree with you that Madrid will more focus for champion league because to get the trophy this is the last chance through this competition and i think Zidane will instruct Madrid players to play carefully to avoid injuried but el classico still important for both of teams

I guess atleast you are right on this one. Only 15 minutes on the clock and we have seen two goals already, current score is 1-1. Probably Barcelona really intended to stay unbeaten throughout this season, not sure if there is anything different probably the league is going to award them with some different trophy compared to the last season because none can defeat them?

The battle of El Clasico just ended with an incredible 2-2 score and the heat of both teams made me feel tense watching it .. 2-2 Scores made me happy because I won the bet in hand with my friends and I got a score of 2 2 .. Hot El Clasico, as always. But referee was biggest star of the game - he lost control of match by making lot of wrong decisions. In first half Bale had to get red card. In attack where Messi scored, Suarez fouled against Varane. And Alba fouled against Marcelo and it has to be penalty. And there was more smaller mistakes by referee. Well, few weeks ago I said that Hernandez Hernandez aren't ghe best choice for El Clasico.
But score 2:2 is quite fair imo. Barca can be happy about result playing with 10 players in 2nd half, their series without defeats continues.

Im not even sure if you really watch the game but Real Madrid is definitely not really serious in trying to win this game. They are not going to win the league so there is no point to give all their motivation on this game. Looks like you were right. There was nothing decaf about this game at all. For me, there was every reason for Real to try and snap their opponents' unbeaten streak. Was actually really sleepy when it started but it turned out to be more like an EPL game than a La Liga one. I luckily did not put a bet (would have thought Barca would win and almost did despite playing with 10 men), or would have extended a 4-game losing streak in club football!

A bit disappointing to see only a section of the crowd applaud for Iniesta when he was subbed (I was watching an American broadcast though so maybe other telecasts would have shown more).

A goal apiece for the two figureheads and a lovely snapshot from Bale. Lots of entertainment value imo.

LOL, stop crying, dude. Poor Real Madrid played against 12 players of Barca... C'mon, man, referee was awful yesterday, he made many mistakes and none of these teams can be happy about it. Yes, Suarez fouled against Varane, I agree. Also, Alba fouled against Marcelo and referee had to give penalty. But why did you forgot to mention that Bale had to get red card??? After Roberto got red card, Real had 45 minutes to win match while have one player advantage on the pitch.
And in general, Spanish referees are terrible, and it's getting worse each year...

Wrong. The ref made A LOT of bad calls for both teams. You can't say that Real Madrid didn't win because of ref when Bale should've been sent off minutes before Sergi Roberto saw the red card, and the offside goal? it was a legit goal, Rakitic was onside, Barcelona would've been 3-1.

And tbh, what really hurt Real Madrid was C.Ronaldo's injury, without him the team felt completely different in second half.

We should be happy that we saw such a great game in despite the ref being an absolute disgrace. The fact that there are way more wrong calls from the ref than highlights of the match says a lot about the shitshow that Hernandez Hernandez created.

it was the right choice for Zidane to take Ronaldo off the pitch so he will be rested and not risk him get injured unlike Valverde who made his players chase the ball for a game that didn't have a taste. But I was surprised that Zidane started with the main squad for this match I guess he didn't want from Barcelona to have an easy game and if he lost  this game big the media will not stop talking so in my opinion If Zidane wanted to win but he feared for his players and it was quite clear that he played with extreme caution and away from the frictions, but that did not prevent some of the players bragging but in the end was a match worth seeing and 4 beauty goals despite that faul in Messi's goal but it was fun until the last second.
