honestly, I'm little bit skeptical about similar statements.
maybe it is valid, in some part of Asia or equator Africa, but generally doesn't matter so much, if bitcoin costs ~230 or ~330. for example, I just used tram in my city and every stupid holds iphone 5s/6 in his hand so 3BTC or 4BTC phone..
I want to say, that once there will be general interest, price doesn't matter so much for potential users.

Agree but if the price will remain low for to many time the interest will be gone. Needed increase to see that bitcoin has value and can be a good investment. In that way the interest can remain live and other will be interested. |

I don't think that's true, when we see a big influx of new users is when the price increases a lot, media writes more about bitcoin, people see price increasing and wants to get in the train, when the price is low the usual players take the opportunity to increase their positions.

People that feel they have missed the boat to 1200 are now able to enter at a price that feels cheap to them. I think it is mainly a psychological effect.

yes? And I think that they don't care at all. I have a lot friends from IT field, with quite high salaries and they at least knows that bitcoin exists...but there is literally no way how to convince them. Dunno if cause is media coverage (silkroad, gox, frauds, hitmans, hacks..), but they just don't want to own it, but within my friends, I can see wireless payment cards, NFC and paypal accounts only. believe or not, but if somebody was interested at 1200 and "missed the boat", he bought as much as he was able at 500-600 range and didn't wait until now. |

If you have been up to date with bitcoin price information analysis and statistics, you might know about the fluctuating quality of bitcoin and its volatility in terms of price. There have been bigger crashes and even more better boosts upwards in terms of price. You shouldn't be scared about the price remaining low for a long time, rather invest now for higher gains  |

but there is literally no way how to convince them. Sad truth , this happened to me as well believe or not, but if somebody was interested at 1200 and "missed the boat", he bought as much as he was able at 500-600 range and didn't wait until now.
The other sad fact is that not everyone are going to hold their BTC which they bought at higher range with the current dropping range. Few weeks ago due to the greece hype, the price was over $300 but now it is settling in $230~ and I would assume that some has sold their BTC to minimalize some of their lost ( now imagine that there will be alot more that sell some of their stash when they bought at $500+ ) What is more important? Price movements,both up and down, or price stability?
Depends on what your point of view is, for a mere trader then this waves would be the important thing to get some profit but if you are setting your point of view from the side of mass adoption the price stability is one of the key factor to achieve that. Due note that most people loves gold because of its stability as mass is afraid of "holding" a thing which price might change every day |

As far as investment goes, a lower price for something that's been so high at one point will always be good because they can make quick cash. As a long term currency, a price like this isn't something that would want to attract people or make people more fond of the currency. If it shows signs of stability, and increase, then in my opinion, that would create mass adoption. Staying low like this for such a long period of time isn't make too many people crazy about it because most people who once knew about Bitcoin would associate it with the 1k+ price it once had.

Actually from what I could see in the past that is HIGH price of bitcoin which is real honey for the people and businesses.
Most people are thinking in schemes and if something has low value it is not worth their attention. Low price of bitcoin is actually harmful for bitcoin economy imo.

for me price movement is more important than stability..That is favor in every trader they can gain a better profit from that..If the price is stable do you think they can profit fast |

rapid increase or downfall in the BTC price won't be helpful... it might get attention for a short duration but farsighted it won't do any good stability and slow but steady increase in btc prices could indeed help attract larger masses of people into bitcoin community and will also result in stable albeit regular income for bitcoin owners... |

For them it would be good an increase of price and this is the contradiction. The beginners want low price to be included in this market, the old customers want high value in order their coins are more evaluated. Who will solve this dilemma? |

its true though so that you can buy bitcoin for a much lower price
and wait for it to go high or peak if possible
but alot of ppl to teach what is bitcoin is really hard
and others don't wanna accept bitcoin

Exaclty what I thought. A lot of people regret that they heard of bitcoin too late, and that they didn't have the chance to enter at a low price. Now that BTC price is attractive the are all worried and scared about it. |

But low price also could scare some people off. Maybe get worried when the price keeps on falling. Personally I'd prefer it to remain low for the next couple of years so I can get more  . Hopefully if bitcoin's potential is realized the value in 5-10 years will be multiples of what it is now. |
