Only an addicted Gambler will be bold enough in taking such kind of risk to uses money expected for wedding into gambling, what a miserable misappropriation of fund, this kind of diversion is mentally imbalance and such a gambler need to be accessed by a psychology to know if something is wrong with you for taking such a decision or not, a consciously minded person shouldn't take this kind of risk and use his money meant for wedding into gambling, the amount involved in this case is too much to bear for both him and his partner.

First of he was the one that did what he did. I see no reason why he will sue them. They didn't put a gun to his head and say gamble. All they did was advertise, it was up to him to gamble or not. But he chose to. Sueing the company from his own actions is absurd. Not a good sign of a man capable of taking full responsibilities of his own actions.

This is really embarrassing how can someone in his right senses spend the money for his wedding on gambling game and still have the audacity to sue the casino for his own negligence instead of taking full responsibility for his actions rather than shifting blames, this level of addiction is beyond this world and I am still surprised on how he was able to come out of it and what therapy procedure he was given to have saved and pull him out from addiction regardless of the severe cases he was diagnosed of, it takes only the grace of God for a person to overcome addiction, I'm happy for him on his recovery.

I agree that the person who gambles should be responsible for his actions.  Calls, advertisement promotions and any other form of activity that encourage the person to act while the person is not under any kind of extortion, blackmail, or any other criminal action that forces him to gamble should not held liable because the person is not a minor and is of legal age and knows the consequences of his action.

It can be refuted by a situation where the gambler won millions of dollars, and the sportsbook demands to give back the winnings. Would the gambler comply?  Besides, even his father reminded the gambler to get into self-exclusion, but ignore it.  It is clear that the gambler's action is according to his own greedy will and not because he is forced by the casino.

I don't know what he thinks to use his wedding money to gamble, when everything is lost and there is nothing to blame, the place where he gambles is demanded.

Basically, people who are addicted to gambling in their brains are already dark, with their greed they want to continue to win and actually make the man blind to his mind. who don't care about money that shouldn't be used for gambling.

What a dilemma for people who are addicted, they will always think and be restless if they don't play it. I recently had a chat with a gambler who I think is also addicted, the problem is that they already have a lot of debt and he still wants to increase his debt to gamble again. Lol

I am still unable to see any good reason he sued the gambling site. All these are just not good reasons to sue a gambling site. I did not see anything like the gambling site did not self-exclused him when he went for self-exclusion. I guess this will just be a loss case.

If he made huge amount of money from the gambling site, he will be very happy and not sue to gamble site.

This case is just as a result of chasing losses and gambling with amounts we can't afford to loses and also the dangers of borrowing to gambler and I do agree with you that, there is absolutely no bases for suing the platform because I believe there's always terms and services every player agrees to before gambling and that alone give the casino a great edge over the player and his attorney and in all of these, the person I pity the most is the judge presiding over the case because they are just making his job difficult.

Casinos have the right to promotions and marketing and if the marketing and there're are also some great bonuses and promotions I receive in my email from casinos and I should be solely responsible for my actions if I choose to accept them and not turning to blame them for doing their promotions after because I ended up losing and not winning and I still stand with Charlse to ask, what would have been his action if he won big from the casino, would he have also sued them for paying him big sum of winning?

Will taking this matter to court be successful? I don't think so, as it's quite clear that his biggest mistake was his own irresponsibility for his gambling behavior, easily tempted by advertising and promotions from gambling companies, ultimately leading to his becoming a serious addict. The aggressive advertising by bookmakers is just that, advertising, bookmakers won't force you to gamble. It would be far better for the man to focus on his recovery.

Some members here have highlighted the importance of regulating promotional offers to players, especially to VIP hosts, because their approach can appear very convincing to some vulnerable players, which might be the area the addicted one is using to sue them even when there is not much that can be gained from such cases. I can see the area he’s looking at while approaching the court room.
