The season for Atalanta so far is a disaster, after 6 games they should be the worst defense in Serie A with the biggest amount of goal conceded.

Atalanta ended the first half 1-0 ahead, however. 20 minutes after the second half started, the score became 3-1. There is nothing more natural than questioning the defenders who conceded 3 goals in 20 minutes. I guess the last thing you would expect is to be defeated at home in the Como match. And yeah, since then Como seems to have really got their motivation back and turned the match in their favor. Although I was quite annoyed with the result of the match. Raphael Varane has decided to retire from professional football with immediate effect, bringing to an end a storied career that saw him turn out with Real Madrid and Manchester United among others.

It still comes like a shock to me because he was still 31 years old.    Signing for Como was a huge downgrade in his career that's for sure. However I would never expect this signing would led to his retirement. He was away from his good old days in performance. Signing for Manchester United didn't end up well for him.

If he was able to stay at Real Madrid then maybe things weren't going to come to this point. But we can't turn back time so we will never know...

Watching the game today I was not impressed with Atalanta. Throughout I kept wondering if it's the same Atalanta that played against Arsenal in the UCL. Who almost bullied Arsenal throughout and it's the same Atalanta that was finding it difficult to play against Como today. Today's loss is on the manager, Underrating Como, and resting his best players. Atalanta have big problems with their defense system, with 11 conceded goals after first 5 matches in Serie A. Their attacking system worked well with 10 goals so far, but with a weak defense system, they have a negative goal difference now and only have 6 points which are only 1 point more than a weak team like Como.
