Union put up a great fight in both matches against Bayern Munich. The biggest European teams couldn't play the way they did. Their performance gave me hope for their Bundesliga qualification. Despite being a cup match, they faced Bayern Munich as a team that put up a strong fight. However, the result remained the same, and Bayern Munich advanced. Still, I congratulate them on their good performance.

Their intense attacks impressed me. Union Berlin were almost successful with their attacking plan against Bayern Munich. They attempted a total of 20 attacks, hit the target 7 times and took 2 penalties. They successfully completed the penalties. From a team that did not qualify for the Bundesliga, we saw a performance that even Bundesliga teams cannot do. They put Bayern Munich under a lot of pressure and presented a great challenge. Although they lost in the end. But their fight impressed me.

Union Berlin performance was really surprising by anyone, majority didn’t expect such performance. That is why sometime  prediction is really difficult to do. Because like the match between union Berlin, the way Union performance was really going in that match if they were luck to win the match, people that will loose money ghat dah will be many, but unfortunately Bayern did everything to win the match.

But looking at the bottom half of the table the point gap is close so Mainz still has a greater chance of leaving the relegation zone if they can start getting points now. But it sad to see a team been able to get only one win and three draws after twelve matches .

H2H statistics and recent match results give Leverkusen the advantage or a guaranteed victory, even without Alonso. Kasper Hjulmand has managed to find the right rhythm for Leverkusen's strategy. The change in manager was initially questionable, but the new manager has managed to bring Leverkusen to greater consistency, and the match against Augsburg will be an easy task for Leverkusen.

BTW, I don't think Xabi Alonso has changed his name to Xavi Alonso yet.

The points difference between the teams on the bottom isn't that big so if any team starts winning more than a game, it will gets outside of the relegation zone. M'Gladbach is the best example and the recent one. Apart from their last defeat, M'Gladbach showed they are still able to play and win several times. Their today game is a must-win one since they are playing against a team weaker than them. Until now they are doing fine although playing away.

Mainz are playing at home and they will do anything possible to achieve the three point together against monchengladbach because they need to get the three point since they draw there last game, because if they fail they will be in danger and struggling to move out from relegation zone. If they win today they will be safe but now is a tough thing for them and Monchengladbach as be in bad form this season and I don't think they can achieve three point home with how they are playing currently am just seeing the game as a draw match. because both team are playing same pattern in the game so let just see how the first half will ends. I was going to bet over 2.5 goals on the Mainz 05 vs. Mönchengladbach match, but I'm glad I didn't. It's half time and there still hasn't been a goal. Maybe there will be 3 goals in the second half, but if the pace of the first half continues, that seems impossible. Mainz hasn't even attacked. Mönchengladbach hasn't found the net.

St Pauli has won just two matches this season, they lost nine and draw just one, they only have seven points out of possible 35 points which is a very poor performance from them, but if we rate how they made it to the Bundesliga, they did well but they need to put more effort to remain in the Bundesliga because with this performance, they can escape the relegation zone at all. They need to make sure they get their full points against average teams like them so that they can get and accumulate some points to escape the relegation zone.

Judging by the momentum Bayern Munich have been playing since the start of the season, I strongly doubt that there's any German team that's gonna stop them from winning the German Bundesliga and the DFB-Pokal Cup. They've got the best performing team in Germany and one of the best in Europe so winning a double I think is most likely to happen for them at the end of the season. If there's anything to worry for the reigning German champions, it'll be winning the UEFA Champions League which will likely complete the treble.
They have the depth in squad to rotate the team when playing the different competitions and still get good results so why then do you think they'll want to let go of the Cup competition?

But we know Arsenal are sometimes bad, on the way to the end and that is an opportunity for other teams that are more consistent and stronger in their last times, Bayern Munich does not have a big burden in their domestic league, their victory is inevitable and can focus on the path that makes them able to win the match in the Champions League, that is the advantage that Bayern Munich has, as now Munich can be at the top of the standings with a difference of 8 points from second place, while Arsenal continues to be chased by Manchester City.

The first half was full of activities surely, having a disallowed due to a handball situation. Now, that was a little controversial since the ball only slightly touched the hands and it was already directed goal wards, he was unlikely to have had his hands out. Sadly, it does count according to the rules though.
Monchengladbach played good football though, you almost feel they would find their first goal at some point and win the game since, Mainz wasn’t getting shots on target. Didn’t expect the game to be one with limited goals though.

In the Bundesliga, Leverkusen is unlikely to lift another trophy, as they sit in fourth place and have a significant points gap with Bayern Munich. Therefore, if they can perform optimally in the DFB-Pokal, they might still have a chance to achieve that. Although it won't be easy for them at all, as Bayern Munich still poses a formidable challenge.

The chances you are looking out for Leverkusen in this fixture is if it happens that Bayern Munich actually takes the DFB pokal less seriously, if they are very serious with this competition, they will still push Leverkusen away and still win the title even as Leverkusen is trying so hard to win thr title. If they are lucky, this could turn out  to be their only chance  this season to lift a trophy in Germany because I really do doubt  they will win the Bundesliga or even have a chance at three champions league.

The Bundesliga seems to be in their hands, and I'm sure Kompany will still be able to win it, too, given how far they've come. If they're aiming for a treble, they need to win the DFB-Pokal as well. This will make Bayern Munich even more serious, as they should be. And you're right; if they continue, Leverkusen will be in trouble.

Anyway, regarding Bayern Munich, the good news is that Luis Díaz's suspension for the Champions League match was finally reduced, from three bans to just two. This will bring good points for Bayern Munich.

Union Berlin probably knows well how to face Bayern Munich. They used a very defensive tactic but they play in an aggressive way. If they have players with good in physical, it is very possible to make a pressure on Bayern Munich although they have quality players. Even if they are in a deferent level, they have the same number of the players in the field.  

In DFB Pokal match yesterday, I agree that Bayern Munich was just lucky winning against Union Berlin. They actually only scored 1 goal (Kane's goal), 2 other goals were made by Union Berlin players (own goals). Union Berlin really dominated the match, they just have poor of shoot accuracy. I personally really appreciated how Union Berlin played in the match (they've tried their best).
