I'm considering creating a bitcoin website for either gambling or as a free bitcoin faucet, as I have a good understanding of html, php, python and javascript but am wondering what measures would need to be put in place to stop hackers from hacking the website. (apart from making the code to confusing for them to understand or linking to a different hosted website for information)
Remember that Bitcoin is still beta software. Don't put all of your money into BTC!

I haven't had experience making websites with bitcoins, but i have seen many people post their website on the services section to have their website tested for such attacks. You could do that for people to explore any flaws in the site and see if it can be hacked or be frauded in any way.

You can ask a tester to test your website for any vulnerabilities or weak links here on the forum itself or use a good hosting website to protect it from hacks. The later will be more expensive though.

Why not to hire or be a partner with someone who can handle for the security.
BTW if you looking for some graphic design, just PM me Grin

You can base your gambling site on the moneypot api. Coins are handled there so nothing to hack on your site.

I have also just thought, after looking at the website someone added, I could convert the website that I will make into an android app as I have some experience in programming in java and am currently doing an android tutorial, as i dislike apple.

I'd hire someone to make your website more secure and after that, do some penetration testing.
Or use moneypot, but adjust the design of your site to make it unique.
