Might work. Could also go horribly wrong as Coinbase has a known history of shutting down accounts. I haven't read their policy though.

I would but just buying bitcoins off coinbase takes 4 days for me (bank account set up)...not sure if it'll be worth it after 4 days if btc reaches $150

I don't know. I can't see anything clearly against it here: https://support.coinbase.com/customer/portal/articles/683805-how-does-the-coinbase-referral-program-work- but they do say that they reserve the right to change the policies anytime. What puts me off is their history of rejecting / closing down accounts that do anything they deem unworthy. Anyway, good luck!
