Like your concept and after reading the whitepaper and website, I am wondering about your ICO pricing:

Allocating 35M+ DCT to the foundation is nice until you look at the pricing of 5000DCT per BTC, which makes the allocation 7000BTC's worth or a little less then $5M.

How many DCTs will come to be? What percentage is the allocation (the $5M) from the total number of DCTs? what initial valuation does it give to the entire project?

will there be inflation or is this a set amount?

Also, it seems like you have had several delays in starting the ICO. The white paper said Q1, then the web site announce June. what were the reasons for the delay and what is the roadmap?

The token amount of DECENT Software Sale is not limited.
There will be an inflation. The publishing and buying process includes a small publishing fee - these tokens are burnt afterwards. Miners (publishers) verify the transactions and earn a reward for doing so - these are a newly generated tokens.

DECENT is a non-profit project supported by DECENT Foundation, which will never have financial benefits from DECENT Network. Funds allocated to the foundation will cover further development of the network, keeping protocol up to date, implementation of voting system and so on. The future plan for DECENT is to create an app-market place where people can easily download applications built on top of the protocol to their Android or iOS devices. Next week we will publish the roadmap and development plan in which we will specify the future steps and  explain why the amount of 35,000,000 tokens is inevitable to ensure the best possible performance of DECENT Network and stability of DECENT Foundation. DECENT’s aim is to completely recreate the digital content distribution process.

The delay of the Software Sale was caused by some organizational issues. Right now we are finalizing all the preparations. Once, it is all done we will publicly announce the start date of DECENT ICO. However, the estimated time of it’s beginning is August/September 2016.

Ok. so what is the initial number of tokens and what will be the creation rate of new tokens? I understand that some will be burnt but it will take time to burn many.

In order for 50 / 50 split between ICO investors (and let's say the the average will be 5000 coins per 1 BTC) and foundation you need to raise 7000 BTC and the ICO investors will only hold 50% of the coins while you will hold at that time 7000 BTC + 50% of Decent coins.

I believe the foundation amounts will be pushed forward for other different things also these coins will be needed for paying for content creators.

It's not exact because they haven't released the data but I am in contact with the dev team so I will be first to know, if you signup for the newsletter on the site I will give data as to when it starts via email.
