the fan on one of my cards broke and I am looking for a replacement. Sapphire Germany and the shop recommend sending in the card, I don't think I can stand the time that would take.

I would like to replace the fan only, not the whole cooler. I can not find a replacement fan, though. Has anyone ever bought a replacement fan for this card? It is a 92mm fan and runs up to more than 4300rpm (5000?).

Fans of this size I found only run 2000rpm or lower. Also they have a cage arround them which the original one does not have. The manufacturer seems to be called "firstd".

Sapphire international:

Dear Sir
Thank you for your mail. Actually we do not sell fan cooler individually. Only via our RMA apply, then you can replace your fan cooler. Any third party fan cooler will affect your warranty service, please note this. Here is our warranty policy link:

Hope you understand. Thanks.
Regards

It would be really nice to get a spare fan for a quick replacement.

Sourcing the exact correct fan (or fan spec.) is potentially going to be pretty hard if neither Sapphire nor Google are going to tell you what it is.  You might have better luck sourcing a cooler + fan combo.  Something like this (which wants Arctic Alumina or so I'm told) might be pretty good if you have room for it.  If you are over-clocking you might want to just get rid of the fan it comes with and go with something louder.

In my experience these fancy looking coolers are not just bling -- they actually work (albeit with widely varying degrees of efficacy).  You might find you are able to squeeze a but more MH/s out of the card with a big nasty radiator on it like that although I don't have experience with recent ATI cards so... maybe my advice is worth what you paid for it Smiley

You can easily attach a 80mm case fan to the heat sink.

Thanks for your suggestions!

I will sandwich a 92mm fan below the lowest card. Also ordered another 80x80x15mm fan (Titan TFD-8015M12Z, closest to stock that I could find) that might fit as a replacement should another fan in the stacked cards break.

Sapphire told me to replace the whole cooler from Zalman or Arctic. They could not offer me a replacement fan or point me to where to buy one... quite disappointing I must say, smashed most of my confidence in the company.
