Fees suck, but are needed in one way or another. Nevertheless, thank for mentioning it, it advises me to not go into kraken!

Hi,
Is there any difference in fees & gains/losses depending of the leverage you choose, at Kraken or other exchanges?

Let's say I want to open a long or short position with 10 BTC.

Is there any difference if I select leverage 1.5, 2, or 5?

Suppose I have enough amount in my deposit to cover the trade, regardless of the leverage, I think there is no difference at all. Am I correct?

Thanks

I've never used leverage, so I'm not certain, but I don't think there's any difference in fees for the amount selected. For Kraken at least it seems you just pay the Margin Open/Rollover Fee: 0.01% per 4 hours plus the standard fees (see: fee schedule).

You could get a more definitive answer on the Kraken thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=290799
