yah VegasCoins on your VGC card to use at the casinos while verifying and seeing the transactions on your mobile. even gambling in the casinos without being there using your phone and apps and your VGC. I don't know if there is power behind this coin, what are the devs upto, is there community support? I mean this thread is since 2014 and only 22 pages to now. the idea is novel and could get somewhere if serious development and support were behind it, otherwise, the next big thing is being developed already somewhere else and VGC will be obsolete soon..

we were on cryptocointalk for a while just because thats where discussion was happening. so there are less posts here than probably should be.

interesting, so maybe should join the discussion there but kinda too much work for me Roll Eyes any interesting developments there?
[/quote]

I read back through your posts and like those ideas creating new ways to gamble, it could be integrated throughout.... going further with my idea of a "central bank" (critical for long term mass adoption, so that cards/accounts available to be used by anyone)... the casino could release or help release new currencies (ultra fair launches so people would become long term supporters), get the best developers, and go big, pre-announce all launches, etc... the exchange could have investment funds running bots, people could "bet" (trade) on activity or lend/bet on trading bots/funds, etc, etc... so there would be a crypto banking aspect.... A "Central Bank" is the only way to protect the currency and make it useable for anyone. It could start out as an online website like a VGC paypal to start. but the more focus on security regular people will get interested much faster. The website could transition to a more secure physical location along the lines of a bank(or casino) with actual vaults for cold storage. This will have to be state of the art security with monitored/controlled access, etc. This is why I originally had faith in this coin. with exchanges like Mt. Gox going down and shady things happening at these exchanges, VEGAS would require many rules to be followed and take security very seriously, like casinos and banks do. If this is ever adopted locally at that scale it will have to follow the rules as a business and be transparent and ULTRA secure. with good security and stability will come serious growth.

what would be cool is if these companies/programs like Bitconnect and Control Finance existed that were more transparent and legally(?) committed so that earnings COULD be guaranteed.... this all would only work if we could find ways to HARDCODE WEALTH/GROWTH into the system so anyone investing will earn... and yes this could be done if we consider something like a tax that gets broken up into various ongoing expenses (this could be applied to rewards for gamblers like progressive jackpot bonuses, comps, etc.).... Las Vegas has gambling machines called "MEGABUCKS" which is a Progressive Jackpot and so when those jackpots build up, its on the news and TONS of people (including locals) line up to play.... Its almost like the state lotteries when the jackpot gets big.

That kind of stuff would need people familiar with banking/casinos/gaming machines...

I wont give up hope on this coin. I hear there will be more work done by the devs, when time/economy permits... I am sure with all of these controlling factors, it becomes 100x more important to be cautious and thoughtful when considering any type of update to the client... In the meantime, I will be starting work on my websites and accept VGC, I have done a lot of prep work already but its just a big website...

One other thing is when we reach 100 million coins miners are going to be mining tx fees (i think), so mining is going to be an interesting factor affecting price... you see how much work is involved here, everybody should stop assuming its dead, its trading at Novaexchange now.

this is an example of a very small sports book (one of the smallest I have seen), it has tv screens with scores/lines.... a physical exchange could be small or large, but the customer service counter would just be where people put USD into their account (then they do the trading on the website or app) maybe cashing out at the counter to a certain limit and for larger amounts cashing out at the main cage...

the screens could also be big like the big sports books with all the current trading/coin marketcap statistics, etc. maybe crypto related television on other screens.

I was also thinking it would be cool to establish more long term mining in Las Vegas, the problem is electricity is very expensive, so the ideal route would be power them with solar. Not only would this eliminate significant operating costs, the mining/nodes will be sort of "digital monuments" to the long term stability of the coin, but with increase in scaling there will be increase in need for more mining... it would be great to see mining equipment companies come forward with possible solutions in the future, mining could become very profitable in the future and it would be good if the currency promoted future education, and mining is a great way to get involved and learn the ins and outs of the currency, this would be a big plus for mining equipment companies looking for more business, what better opportunity than sponsoring some solar rigs --- so maybe some solar people too Smiley

these are just my ideas, they are ambitious and I definitely cant put that kind of workload on myself alone, hopefully all of our ideas will develop into bigger and better things over time. But I think we will definitely see price growth soon on the exchange... the sell orders are the thinnest I have seen them, a few hundred dollars could set the price off..... If someone dropped a Bitcoin on the VGC exchange it would change our price paradigm completely (lol, im just guessing)...

yah definitely lots of potential there, also just because the market is so enticing, a lot of other projects have come out since VGC and still coming up now using ETH etc. in the end it's about getting it right, but I don't see the devs here, I don't know if anybody is still standing behind this coin apart from some enthusiastic community members but we need devs to move things forward. The website is still standing and looking nice, so I'm just confused about whether there is any work still being done or possible or not Huh

That's pretty rich, considering they just delisted a bunch of coins, even though they claim (or did claim in the past) "once a coin is voted in we do not delist"

Also, to acquire 250k DOT (the discounted listing fee) at market will cost you nearly 3 BTC

3 BTC is outrageous. I really like Cryptopia, in fact I prefer them... but we cant afford these high listing fees everytime an exchange goes down (especially with the BTC price rising like it is)... Also, we are not considering that Novaexchange is changing ownership so we may still be listed once ownership changes over....

I think we can definitely get more local support in the near future (which could significantly increase our trade volume). With Bitcoin really getting more buzz, and casinos in Vegas (Like "The D" on Fremont Street who PROUDLY accept bitcoin and its all over their digital signage outside the casino (ill post some pictures sometime soon).... I have been getting more questions than ever from noobs in Vegas who want to know more about what cryptocurrencies to invest in...

We still have a lot of potential. I do not think its wise to call it dead.

Ideally if we have the means to do our own exchange at some point, I think other major exchanges may add us for the hell of it.

I registered Vegascointalk.com and am hoping to get that going soon, along with tutorials so new people can get involved right away and have a better understanding of how it all works. This will increase our longterm investors. My other site(s) are still on hold for now due to time constraints but they will accept VGC once they are ready.

I was suprised to see the price dropped, wish i had more money to buy coins right now.... once our exchange situation gets sorted out, we should all try to put some bids up on the buy side (so if BTC goes way up and any weak hands start dumping VGC we get the coins much cheaper).

Vegascoin was already listed on Cryptopia but was delisted due to all of the wallet issues.

Novaexchange has posted lists of coins they are delisting.... Luckily, I don't see Vegascoin on that list... Let's hope we are still in when the exchange goes back online...

We could also look into the decentralized exchanges under development.... But I notice there is a lot of phony vegascoin chatter on twitter FROM THE FAKE VEGASCOIN PEOPLE. One guy says he made a Vegascoin through Counterparty, and the other one that started as Flycoin and tried to steal the name... those are TOTALLY fake currencies that did not launch fairly. We must stand our ground...

My friends are totally blown away by bitcoin and litecoin right now (because they got in late). They are disappointed they didnt get in sooner (when I first told them about it). I think we are potentially at a turning point, especially if we start promoting locally.

I took some photos this week of billboards that are now around Las Vegas with Bitcoin being promoted. I will post them here soon (along with the bitcoin all over "The D" hotel digital signage (its animated so maybe i will upload a video clip for your enjoyment).
