Gambling. Is It Wrong?

This happened to me less than 1 hour.
I used to play dice with a random altcoin, didn't notice that it changed to btc, hell yeah lost twice about the 1/3 of my balance (it is not that big but hell).
Hmmm i had to recover what I lost, after 2 minutes lost all my balance.
That's why I hate gambling (used to do it with free coins only!)

You have to just cut your losses and forget about it. The best way to avoid losing coins by gambling them away is not to gamble at all. The temptation however may be too much, so you have to keep your coins safe.

That's actually the worse way to gamble. And casino's love that. Because they know that people get emotional after losing money and they hope you bet more and lose it all.

Exactly i got very angry when I saw my coins disappearing and i had two successive losses with bitcoin and other with the altcoin , hmm i can't loose fourth time in a row so i will try and recover it all... Boom i lost it all!
Huge mistake that I will try to avoid it in the future, hopefully i didn't have too much.

Gambling is inherently bad. All long term gamblers loose money in the long run. Don't tell me there's such a thing as a professional gambler. Professional gamblers are in my opinion professional losers. Even if you're the best poker player, you're not always going to hit the straight  flush. You can still bust on a hit. It is too possible to lose everything on a single hand.

So gambling isn't that bad, since you earn money from it. You don't like to gamble yourself, thats ok, no one has to,
but you're still part of the system and telling us "gambling is inherently bad." while wearing that sig just is pointless.

Gambling... it sucks. Like drugs you should not try it.

But after you try it you will addicted to it but drugs will let you end up ending your life quickly but gambling sometimes you can win a lot from it so gambling is more better than drugs

I take gambling as way of getting happy but not for long time as it is very hard to stop myself from gambling when i win a big. I eventually lost more than i win in total but i don't think gambling is bad. No one can earn without taking risk that implies both in our daily job as well as in gambling.

Yeah, I prefer call them as experienced gambler instead of professional gambler. But at least an experienced one could make better decision in gambling with his experiences than a greedy gambler, right? I completely disagree with this statement.  There are professional gamblers, look at Poker tournaments.  Many of those guys have made millions playing Poker, and the thing I think you are forgetting, is Poker is mostly reading someones face, to see what they have/might not have.  I bet a lot of the professionals could come play at a local game or friendly game, and not ever look at there hand once, and win.  There is definite skill in Poker.

This is just an old question, replace Gambling with, Lying, drinking, abortion, anything that might be considered wrong.

Gambling is as evil as you make it.  Yes it can cause addiction, a lot like other things.  What I try to live in my life is a balance, and yes sometimes gambling is in that balance, but you have to be able to step back and really look at things when you are gambling, so you don't become addicted and that you don't lose all your money.

Gambling is good if you know your limits. You have to learn that you can't make a living with gambling money until you die. You can't retire from your gambling winnings. Even lotto winners can't handle that much money and don't invest real things which have actual value. They end up bankruptcy, we hear these stories every day.
