It depends on why you are gambling. If you are addicted, it is very wrong indeed.

However, if you do it for fun and don't really care if you win or lose, than gambling can actually be quite nice to do!

Well said. Do it for fun and you have a good time, while earning some money, but you could lose it too.

So play with small acounts and limit your spending.

This is what I do when I got some extra money left. I play with what I can afford to lose. If I can't afford to lose I just stay home and sit on my money.

Well if you have calculated your monthly income and your monthly bills and your savings. Than yeah gambling is good to do Tongue If you want to waste money.
If I can't afford I just play a poker game that doesn't pay any money Cheesy
why not save up that money? why knowingly throw it away just for a bit of fun, as most people on here say. there's absolutely nothing you gain, other than a bit of time passed. if someone is willingly throwing away parts of their paychecks for some momentary fun, i would say theyre gambling addicts, no matter what they say against it.

I disagree; you are always using some part of your pay check for some type of entertainment, unless of course you are living pay check to pay check.

I do agree that throwing it away for a small rush is fairly stupid, however each person has their interests, and so you can't lump a hobbyist together with an addict. I would say a hobbyist is someone who plays poker with a portion of their pay check every two weeks or whatever, for fun, while an addict would constantly be taking more chunks of their pay check to try and win or recreate the feeling.

No gambling is just a game. A game that you play with real money. With that real money you can lose or win.

So no gambling is not wrong.

Gambling is bad if you come there for just to win money and don't have a good experience with it. If you have plenty of experience I don't think it is bad.

If gambling is wrong, then paying insurance is wrong!   Paying insurance is a form of gambling; they just don't tell you that when you sign up for it.  So, you take out insurance on your auto just in case you wreck it and the insurance company is collecting the premiums according to the odds that you probably wont (they take some juice too).  That is the same as gambling but with a different name.

Whatever you guys decide, good luck. May the odds be in your favour Smiley

I don't think there is any wrong or right in this, just pure luck and maybe a slice of strategy.

It's only wrong if you're placing yourself in a lot of debts

Gambling can be fun but it can also be very wrong as you touched upon. Many people who gamble regularly end up becoming addicted and that is just a waste of life as the gambler will be forever chasing losses and falling further in the hole.

OP it is not beneficial to anyone except the casino owner and the few that only play to have fun and gamble within their means.

The same as everything in life, moderation is the key and don't expect to win lol.

Yes it can be fun but only if you're winning. That's the feeling I get with gambling at least. It's only fun when I'm winning but when I start to lose I take a second to redeem myself and if I still have some money left over from the money I set out to gamble with I'll continue after that, if not I quit for he day.

Only fun when your winning is understandable I guess. I enjoy playing poker for the skill involved and nearly always have fun regardless of a win or loss. Time spent with others using skill is fun but we are all our own person.

Its good you set out with a certain amount to gamble with and even better if you actually stick to it that is when gambling is "not wrong" as long as the amount staking is not a huge amount you cannot afford to lose of course or as long as its not an everyday thing.

for the people who like to play gambling it  doesn't matter for win or lost
they just think about they going to won ,
and if they win it's more like to go back again for win,
and if they lost it is more likely to go back again  Smiley

That is called addiction in gambling in that kind of situation a person who is addict in gambling will always search for the thrilling feeling in gambling but if you want to always win in gambling you need to know how to stop then just came back the other day so the house edge won't kick on that much!

Gambling was never wrong. Its not wrong having fun but if its done too much then it will become. Everything that's too much is not good, so basically it will depend to the gambler if gambling was wrong or not. Some people were getting addicted to gambling and I think that's the time gambling will be wrong.

Gambling can only be wrong if you make it wrong.

It's totally depending on you and if you can control yourself when you're on a losing streak.

probably gambling is not wrong if they can control their self when they did it and i think every person who do a gambling always be thinking will won i have no doubt about that and the problem is some of them always thinking will win easily and without realizing they are already addicted

Well maybe they don't care, because they have a lot of money to spend on. For some is not a good idea to just play because they like it.
They well just end losing a lot of money.

Gambling is not wrong. If you play the lotterry is it wrong???
The real problem is the gambler itself. Some people loose it, others don't. Another problem is cheating betting casinos and sites, and all the violence and illegality behind it.

You must be a wise man to make gambling not wrong. a wise man wouldn't gamble too much until they can't afford to loose.
and when you did it, gambling is on a right way and not 100% wrong. we just need to take a lesson from what gambling sites already did to us.
and fix it next time when we want to gamble again, bet wisely not greedy.

It's not wrong per se, but without a proper strategy it can be very wrong for you. Play with skill and a plan. Set up your limit and playing time.

Use this tips and others to make gambling both fun and exciting.

Gambling is not wrong....not taking care of one's personal responsibilities IS wrong!  So, if one has a problem with gambling which causes them to neglect their personal responsibilities, it is them that is wrong and not the community of gamblers which are wrong!

if you are talking about gambling 80% is not beneficial,

we often heard about a lot of people bankrupt and have alot of debt because of gambling

it is true that gambling provide excitement and entertainment, but if its possible stay away from gambling,

once you addicted to gambling it is very difficult to let go
