How many people would we need to tweet about either bitcointalk or bitcoin to get it trending

I think just over 6,000 mentions is enough, if they accumulate over a short time window.

Hashtag trending happen when in a short time eg. 15min the hashtag accumulates many mentions like over 6,000. But trends don't last for long.
Hashtag trending is different from popularity.
